Improvements to Pillreports?

Seems like an alright idea to me. I think when you click the thumbs up you should also have to give a valid reason why you clicked it which other people will be able to see. There are a few small bugs on PR but nothing major. We really need someone with some coding experience to do a bit of work on PR. I do have a few friends that code but they dissaprove of my drug taking and probably wouldn't help =D.

PR has the potential to be great but it seems to attract alot of uneducated people :\.

PR should enact a way for people to rate a certain press. Much like the way we can already rate a post, but for the pill on the report it's self. That way we can tell what the general consensus is for a particular press in a particular area. This would help to weed out all the dealer posts who throw up a post claiming how bomb his pill is in an attempt to hype a bunk shitty pill. It would also help to back up claims of a bomb roll when it is in fact a bomb roll.

I know it is already in a way in effect because users can post replies, but it would indeed save people the time of having to read through the various replies about how someone wishes they could find good pills and how I wish that shit would come to my area. Anyways you get the gist of what I'm saying.
 
the site's awesome. one bug that i notice was when browsing pages, if I put in a page (ie 5 out of 29) and pressed "go" it would bring me back to the main page.

so many first timer reports that sure feel like dealers-
 
make me a MOD ALLLLL my reports are 100% legit ASK ABOUT ME lol...no but really how do you become a MOD?

Being a mod on Pill Reports is different from being a mod on Bluelight. We are sister sites, but each one is run very differently (and independently) from each other.

So how do you become a mod on Pill Reports? Help other reporters out. Share useful information with the newbies and give constructive commentary on reports. We mods and admins spend a lot of time around the site and we notice when people are helpful. :)

Right now we could really, really use some coding work. That's our #1 priority at the moment.

Some other good advice - dont leave abusive/stupid messages aimed at the mods already working on the site :D

not to be a suckhole here teehee but I think I am one of those people :D
but i am aware that it takes more than 85 posts to be knighted as a Moderator around here.
 
Possibly a reputation system should be placed? and only certain members should be able to use the function, that way they can rate the overall usefulness and knowledge of a user posting a report, so people don't get confused with noobs saying they rolled on pipes etc...
 
How about being able to rate the user and not just the report? like an eBay type of rating so that you know if the poster is reliable or not?
Also letting us know how many reports the user has made and the average rating of his/her reports? Also maybe a function to click on wether we have tried them ourselves and tick yes or no as to if the report is genuine...

I think that could help to shape Pillreports back to a more reliable site and at least slow down the dealers?

Yes all very valid points - mind you can actually search reports/comments made by user if you use the search function.

I suggested that maybe if we could click on the user names to show a 'user profile' it would be a great help - no private information just all comments/threads that that user has done. Any of the mods on PR can tell you I go on and on about having some coding work done around the site to improve the reliability of the site - problems is funding!

If people just got into the habit of rating the reports it would be a good start - if you dont trust the report give it a thumbs down and leave a comment.

I have suggested dozens of changes and small fixes around the site that would really help clean the place up and get rid of a lot of these dickheads/dealers. Hopefully we can get some coding work done soon and we should all see a great difference :)
