^He's deep techno? it sounds soo similar to ny style deep house. in fact, I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between that and deep house.
actually, the last track sounds more like techno.
any how, I love it!
Yeah I would definitely describe Vince Watson as 'deep techno'. I think the main difference between 'deep house' and 'deep techno' is that house beats are generally funkier than techno beats. Techno beats feel a bit 'flatter' imo - there's a bit less life to them. Techno also tends to make more use of hi hats and cymbals, whereas house is mostly just about the kick and the snare.
Anyway - I guess I'm showing my true colours as a nerd by rambling on about genre definitions

At the end of the day, good music is good music

I do tend to like stuff that's deep though - whether it's house, techno, electro, breaks, trance, drum n bass, ambient, or whatever.

I get how people mgiht enjoy listening to this at home. not my thing, but whatever. but at a party? It is really just beyond me how anyone would rather have this music than slamming dance tunes.
When I'm at a party, I don't just want music that makes me dance my ass off. I also want music that makes me feel emotional, and that (for me) requires some warm synth sounds and some nice melodies.
You also have to remember that all dance music sounds more bangin in a club - those Vince Watson kick drums will thump just as hard over a club sound system as the kick drums in a DJ Rush set - Vince Watson just has some melodies too
Check out these clips - hopefully they'll demonstrate that 'deep' and 'bangin' aren't necessarily mutually exclusive:
