okay so fuck

i did a shot last night, may have missed a little. was already high and usually i am VERY good about noticing a burn if i am missing but i didnt seem to feel it, pushed in maybe 30 units (blood was coming into barrel when i checked twice mid shot)

after that i got a histamine reaction on my arm that was huge.

i wake up this morning and there is no swelling BUT there are tons of red dots in a half dollar size circle around the area i missed. it could be from all of the heat/pressure i put on it after i thought that i missed, or maybe the leather chair i slept on wrong. it basically is just red dots, look almost like needle pricks. there is no swelling. wtf.

well if you think its a histamine reaction take a couple benadryl and see if it goes away.. thats all i can think of.
i believe red dots could be a histamine reaction.. but im no dr so if your worried about it check out the ER.
 
never applied heat.

im going to try and get a picture

edit, oh yes i applied hot ass water after.
 
What does heat rash look like?

Heat rash looks like a red cluster of pimples or small blisters. It is more likely to occur on the neck and upper chest, in the groin, under the breasts, and in elbow creases

they dont look like pimples or blisters, they just kinda look like the red dot u get after u spike yourself

its a heat rash deff.

I would recommend you continue to apply a heat compress once per day. If the lump is getting smaller and less painful or less tender or less inflamed over time, then you should be on the mend. Just watch it carefully, so as to make sure it's not getting bigger or changing colors.
 
is it just me or is it that the smaller the gauge gets on the syringe the harder it is to register?? i had 28's and was doing fine, then i went out and bought 30's thinkin sweet it will barely leave a mark.. but i find it harder to register with them.. i have an order of 50 29's coming in the mail and i hope i can register better with those. i still have some 28's so a lil later ill try with one of them and see if im just not skilled enough for a small gauge.

EDIT: yeah its official.. im retarded and cant use a 30g needle.. i just used a 28 fine no prob. but wit the 30's i have a hard time registering/staying in the vein. im weird i guess.

Fake Pill?

Hey, I had a question for those of you with more experience with opiates than me....I have been doing them regularly for two years, have been IV'ing daily for the last 18 months. I regularly shoot 1 or 2 80-mg oxycontin's at a time, or 120-150 mgs of morphine....sometimes fentanyl too, whatever i can get. i also recently started on methadone, and i'm on 50 mgs right now.

anyways, a few days ago i bought a couple of grey 100-mg morphines from my friend, a guy i've known and bought from for years. this guy would not, i believe, ever knowingly rip me off. however, immediately after banging one of the pills, i felt my vision sort of "disintegrate" in front of me, and like i couldn't breath. apparently i was also bright red all over my face, torso and arms...not just flushed, like is usual for morphine, but bright red.

then, i apparently fainted, got up a minute later really disoriented, and fell down again. i felt like something was really WRONG, but not in the way an overdose has felt in the past (i've had a couple, all on fentanyl lol)...i laid down on my friend's bed for 20 or 30 mins, and gradually felt better enough to walk the couple of blocks back to my place.

i was freaked out mostly bc i had such a strong, and negative, reaction to a dose i have done at least a hundred times before. is it possible the pill was a fake, and not really morphine? how common is this?
 
it sounds like a severe allergic reaction or some odd response to the shot. i doubt its a fake pill that you had because it takes several thousand dollars to buy even a cheap pill press, and people who make fake pills usually go for making pills that will sell for high profit margins (like OC), and quite simply, there isnt as much of a market for morphine, so i doubt anyone would take the time to fake it. even fake ocs are pretty rare, for that matter. sometimes you just react oddly to shots, its part of the whole risk you run shooting.
 
yeah morphine haven't been seen as much, although this will either been closed or merged, ill go ahead and say it was mostly likely histamines, but morphine capsules could easly be replaced with something else, and the fake opiates aren't made in some clandestine lab like meth, faking these pills is way to hard, meth is actually pretty easy if you have the right stuff. The facts are coming from other countries, in some cases places that make real drugs as well. Like hydrocodone fakes are showing up with heroin in them, why would someone in the united states make that?
 
well i wasn't really sure...i'm in canada, and have come across all sorts of different morphine pills, it just seemed odd that i'd have such a notably bad reaction to what is a normal dose for me.

not a problem, yeah it was weird for me the first time it happened. I just thought like what the hell is going on and one of my friends told me to calm down and take a few anti-histamines so try that first so you will know its not something more serious
 
Sounds to me like it's a really intense histaminergic reaction to the shot. It's happened to me before when doing big shots of Morphine, even shots of a size that I had done before (as you have).
 
Were you still taking the methadone the day that you took the morphine? If not, how long did you wait before dosing?
 
as palli pointed out, it's likely it was a severe allergic reaction from the histamine release of IV morphine. i always turn red as a beetroot after a large IV of morphine from the histamine release. my dad freaked out one day when he saw me covered in hives, he thought i'd been stung by something ha.

i'm gonna merge this into the IV thread now.

30's and 31's work just fine for me. If your veins roll you can try using a tourniquet.
 
Oh man, I almost totally killed myself today. I was shooting oxycontin, and after my shot I felt these itchy pins and needles ALL over my body. My skin became blotchy. Then I got shortness of breath. It got shorter and shorter until I was hyperventilating. I thought I could wait it out, but then I noticed my lips turned blue. I called 911. I didn't need narcan at all, and was put on oxygen.
Apparently what happened was a small partical of oxycontin didn't get filtered, and went into my blood stream and straight into my lungs, thus closing them. I had a million tests run to see if I caused any permanent damage, seeing at my pulse went to around 156, and my blood pressure was 140/100. Theres no permanent damage and I'm fine now. Was in the ER for like 5 hours. Also, another weird thing, once i shot it, I got this insanely potent chemical taste in the back of my throat, thats when I knew something was wrong.
