tripping in your dreams

Dream dosing

Ever had a dream where you took a drug and in it you began to experience it? It makes me wonder about taking something before bed with the intention of altering and/or enhancing them. I've taken a 'dream tea' blend that was utterly vile. I think it was xosha. It didn't do anything that I can recall.

What have your experiences been with this? What substances are good?

Never had that happen really. Being clean I have however had many dreams where I score a bunch of dope, only to waking up wondering where I put the bags. Also, on another topic, whenever I smoke weed before I go to sleep I completely lack dreams, no matter what. If I don't smoke I'll have vivid dreams.

A couple years ago, after I first smoked DMT, I would have these dreams constantly where someone would hand me a pipe and I'd take a HUGE rip of DMT and start tripping really hard. It was never like an actual DMT trip though, the dream-trip usually involved a bunch of swirling colors and falling through winding tunnels kind of like ketamine but not quite.

Dreams are cool. :D

I've dreamt about drinking (which seems to have the least effect), smoking pot (which seems to have the most) and taking acid / some unnamed psychedelic (which has very inconsistent effects that are not really anything like tripping but sometimes dramatically alter the dream experience). Whenever I take an involuntary pot break, I almost always have dreams about smoking. When I have recreational drugs in regular supply, I am a lot less likely to dream about taking them.

You'd have to pick your drug carefully to dream dose. Given how long it typically takes me to fall asleep even when exhausted, I don't think I could pull it off - the excitement/anticipation of having just dosed would almost definitely keep me up and even if I could stay relaxed and calm, if it started kicking in before I was out cold it would probably keep me up. For that matter, many drugs would probably wake me up when they kicked in, anyway.

I had a friend who was very good at falling asleep on demand (lucky bastard ; ). He used to like to take a nap immediately after dosing and aim to wake up midway on the way up (on acid usually). He liked waking up with baseline already long gone - said it made him trip harder, as if his ego had no state of normalcy to try to cling to.

I've had a couple of dreams where I'd take MDMA and got the full euphoric experience from it... in fact in the dream it was probably better than the real thing - and no come down, either.

My brother had a dream where he took acid and got some nice visuals, too.

This happens to me. In fact, just two nights ago I dreamt I took LSD (I have yet to have an awesome experience on it) and it was niiiiiice.

I once had a dream that I ate some mushrooms that were the size of a rosebush, and grew as such, white with red and green spots. Then I was walking down the street and it hit, and the best way I can describe it was that I leaned forward and faded into white.

Once I turned down an orange powder that the dealer in the dream called "Girl."

A few other dreams of taking acid. Awesome dreams.

I recently had a dream where the word ayahuasca kept presenting itself. In another one a young chemist sold me a DOM, 5-Aco-dmt(?), DPT and MDA. I never took them but shouldve haha.

Dosing before sleep sounds like it would be great in dreams.

What are some things one can ingest to increase lucidity? I find dreams as amazing as psychedelics and if I want to have a random psychedelic experience I just have to go to sleep.

I think the problem with dosing before bed in an attempt to have some incredible dreams would be that the pharmacological effect of the drug would probably alter your sleep staging significantly and the neurological effects might prevent dreaming (or at least doing so with any lucidity).

My personal opinion is that taking drugs and then going to sleep is a waste... unless it's an opiod and you're blissed out ;)

I've read that it does alter your dreams but it can't be 100%. There are things one can ingest that increase lucidity though. What they are though I don't know.

One of those semi popular herbal drugs is supposed to increase intensity and lucidity of dreams and aid in dream recall. Can't remember what it's called.

I've dreamt about smoking DMT that looked nothing like DMT it looked like a huge chunk of play do and i proceeded to be transported to a movie theater parking lot and stumble around.

As far as drugs to do before bed that facilitate lucid dreaming goes, Salvia is probably the best in my experience. I have also used mugwort which is renown for it's dream inducing properties, i've heard some say if you put it in a bag under your pillow even, it helps dream, i'm not quite that new agey. As far as it's psychoactive effects go it's like a 30 min SUPER light pot buzz.

The dream I had the second time I used mugwort though was seriously fucked up, I didn't really care for it. I dreamt that my gums were growing below my teeth and then i got this giant slit across my teeth and gums and couldn't talk at all, it was not pleasant at all. I only used mugwort after that twice to help comedown from some stimulants and I didn't have any dreams I recalled either those nights.

I dream about tripping all the time. Ever since I became a regular user of psychedelics, "dream-tripping" has been a regular part of my life, and it's rare that a week will go by without me "dosing" at least once in my sleep. Since I began taking piracetam / choline / melatonin daily the dreams have become so vivid that I sometimes have to question what is actually reality when I wake up.

I'll try the mugwort out since it sounds like it'll work.

Saucy, is piracetam and choline something easily found? I have melatonin and I was thinking of picking up some gabba if I can find it. I hear that's effective.

Dreams are the Daily psyhedelic

I have dreamt about doing drugs many times. Especially lsd, before I actually tried it. They where all nice dreams, but didn't really compare to the real thing.

I have found that 5-htp gives me very vivid dreams and I seem to remember them better.

Piracetam is a GABA derivative actually, and it (as well as choline) are readily available at many online supplement merchants. Hell, even Amazon sells both piracetam and choline, although you can get better prices elsewhere.

As a mild CNS stimulant, I wouldn't recommend taking much Piracetam right before you go to bed (200-300mgs is OK, but a normal dose will probably keep you up), but the residual effects do significantly affect the vividness of your dreams as well as your ability to remember them.

A little off topic, but I once had a strange, extremely dissociative experience while waking up from a nap with piracetam and choline active in my system. For a brief period of time, I lacked physical existence entirely and was able to jump "outside" conscious reality and view it from a bizarre outside perspective. The experience seemed somewhat reminiscent of the few occasions in which I have combined DXM and Salvia, although I am not certain whether that association is just a product of my mind attempting to find something with which it can relate the experience.

I once dreamt that I took too much DXM and tried to puke it out while the effects started to kick in.
I read a lot about the stuff before so that explains it but I cant describe the feeling of it while dreaming. I only remember it was nasty^^

I've had a few dreams where I ate "acid". The effects were never noteworthy in the dream. Smoked ganja in a dream once and I used to have dreams of doing coke quite frequently when I was stopping my more frequent usage.

It might not do anything for you, but if you want to try taking very large dose of melatonin before you go to sleep, you might have some wild dreams. The first few times I used melatonin I had some vivid dreams. Nothing insane, but more "vivid" than usual.
