Aussies snort super-addictive 'Ivory Wave'

4-MMC is typically marketed online as "bath salts", so I assume that's what it is.

You should read the thread including the original post before making that assumption and making a worthless post.
Do you not think that the University of Sydney would know what 4-mmc looks like?

I find it highly unlikely that MDPV would cause the effects described in the article. There's no way you could have 500mg of MDPV in a night if you were going to be alive in the morning. It sounds as though it is probably MDPV cut heavily with 4-MMC.

I give up, do we all speak the same language???
I am going to talk,,,,,,very........ slowly.....Ivory Wave is a mixture of 2 cathinones 1 is MDPV the other is not. The University of Sydney knows what 4-MMC looks like, but they say in their press comments that the other compound is unidentified, so it is not 4-MMC.

The second compound will no doubt be identified publicly at some point but there are very good reasons (prevention of copycat products for example) not to identify it until it is scheduled, this potent compound has already caused serious psychological problems and if it was to appear widely in RC powder form a lot of people would get hurt.

What sort of psychological problems does the compound cause? I've never taken MDPV or any other RCs since I have no desire to.

The article states that Ivory Wear contains MDPV and "at least one other" component. There is no mention in the article of it being a mixture of two cathinones that I can see.

Plus, it also proclaims that MDPV is the only identifiable chemical, which would imply that the other chemical(s) are unidentifiable.... but as you say, that would be strange for a University not to know what certain chemicals looked like. Having said that, if they need German police's forensic data to recognise MDPV, then who knows what sort of level their RC expertise is at! :)
