IN, Indianapolis - 04.08.10 Thursday - Bassnectar @ The Vogue

can someone explain exactly WHAT goes on at this thing? I have no idea. I'm out of the culture and out of the loop. And that's sad since there IS SOMETHING in the midwest for a change. I should know what it is about.

Everything about this post bothers me. There is always plenty of things to do in the midwest. Always events going on. Seeing as how you are from Iowa and you decide to ask about a club event in Indy doesnt make sense either. Its a club with a dj. What do you think goes on? Its just like any other club except different music. What did you want to hear? "zomg dude, lotz of drugs n sex goes on" Its just like any other club, just diff kind of music =) Just sort of threw me off. Unless you have never been to a dance club before. Then you arent just out of the loop, you're just a flat out hermit. I smell bacon.

I know. It just seemed really weird that you ask what goes on inside clubs. And you are asking about a small event no where remotely close to where you live. Several states away. Sorta out of left field. I wasnt being a dick. It just struck me as odd and out of place.

You'd probably wait for something closer, like Chicago or Cincy, but not fuckin' Iowa. (By the way, Indy is 7 hours from where she lives.)

My recommendation is to find a closer spot. Hell, Bassnectar is playing in St Louis, MO, and Urbana, IL. That's, what? 4 & 4.5 hours, respectively? Go there, much closer. Use the money saved on gas for some top-shelf liquor. ;-)

Now, of course, if your interest is seeing The Vogue, well . . . by all means, come on down. Although I'm sure there are equivalent club venues in Iowa City.

agreed. mainley just how the question was phrased came off as kinda odd.
 
I have family out in rural Iowa. It's definitely remote haha.

But yeah, there are closer cities that have great shows. St. Louis is great for music.

I am quite excited to see this show at The Vogue though.

Made the mistake of going to Hairbangers ball Friday night haha
 
people bickering about bassnectar vs diplo, should just stop. Totally different genres, both GREAT artists. I've seen bassnectar 3 times and he puts on a great show, diplo is the man as well saw him at Lolla (along with bassnectar). Please go listen to bassnectar's new Timestretch EP, specifically the self titled song, bananas. Major Lazer's debut album was alright, diplo is a beast though.


I will be seeing them both when they come to Detroit on the 9th of April, can't wait!
