not to be a dick but it's the other way around.

bassnectar is supporting major lazer.

diplo > bassnectar.

all day, every day.

edit:

not that it's your fault, leah...considering bassnectar considers major lazer HIS supporting act for the night :/

Bassnectar’s Spring Tour wobbles through Indiana to bounce the roof off the Vogue Theatre on April 8th, 2010.

Special guest includes MAJOR LAZER!

riiiiiiiiiiight.

Bassnectar's been putting in a lot of work touring the midwest pretty heavily in 2009 (UGS5, DEMF, Bloomington, HoB, Lollapalooza). His set in Bloomington was off the chart. To me, Bassnectar is definitely the headliner.

I also don't listen to much Major Lazer. Pon De Floor didn't really whet my appetite for more. *shrug* Can't wait to give them a listen though.

Yeah....never heard of Major Laser. :o

Bassnectar is EVERYWHERE right now.

I'm guessing the addition of Major Laser is what's making this $10 more than the rest of the tour?

ML is kind of a big deal right now. I heard Bad Boy Bill blasting some of his tunes as well as the rest of the blogosphere. I never saw the draw, so I don't care one way or the other. Tunes are meh, but to each his own. If it brings more heads in the door, that's what matters these days.

wow...

i love how something like major lazer can just recently hit the eardrums of the indy massive...

major lazer has been in top-shelf dj record crates for damn near a year now. i know bassnectar has crazy touring-festival pull, but he's no diplo. not even close.

different styles/genres/appeal but if you haven't ever heard of major lazer until now or recently you've been living under a rock.

imo GLITCH MOB does it better than bassnectar if my .02 are worth anything.

damn...i guess i stand corrected. bassnectar IS the headliner :|

hrm...so much for artistic integrity vs. mass appeal.

go indy!

Keep in mind that Diplo and Switch are billed as Major Lazer. Not a lot of people know them as that.

If they were billed by their solo names, Diplo would probably be the headliner... and they would definitely get a bigger turnout.

They probably want to establish this name with people, while supporting Bassnectar.

Is it a random night? because on the listing for the major lazer tour Indianapolis was not included.

A year is faster than most. The masses wouldn't necessarily know what's in DJ crates unless they are trainspotters of the highest kind. It's not like they hand out tracklistings at the clubs. If a year truly isn't hyperbole, I'd say that's well above standard.

you just wanted to use the term "hyperbole".

admit it =D
