Mephedrone Megathread VII: Misunderstood Marvels & Malingering Metabolites

This may sound weird, but after using mephedrone, I find that it makes the appearance of my face different; but in a good way. Looks as though I've gotten a slight tan.

Interesting you said that, I thought it was just me imagining things. I also see this, my face seems very slightly tanned the morning afterwards. Strange.

I've gone up to doses of 1.5g (over a 12 hour period) though without any negative side-effects *knock on wood*. The worst that happened was my mouth hurt quite a bit the next day because of gurning and was really sensitive to spices in food (made the roof of my mouth swell up painfully for a bit when I ate a piece of pizza with jalapenos on it).

I guess some people are more sensitive than others to the side-effects.

Can someone clarify for me though, because I've been trying to find information about this without luck, why 4-methylephedrine (or whatever the nasty metabolite is...) is such a red flag? What does this metabolite do? Are there any studies that I can read about it? Just want some more information, because 'it's nasty' doesn't satiate my need to know ;)

Just scored 2g's of really crystally stuff in town. Expensive, but fuck...it does the job!

"Seems to be alot of the college crew are on it around here more and more. Apparently some guy selling MDMA and mephedrone mixed as "mad-cat""

Fucks sake!

If he had MDMA, why not just sell that?! I'm sure he'd have plenty of takers at the mo!

^ Hahaha sorry mate should have made that more clear.. Hes basically selling some random shit mixed with the mephedrone. I would say the chances of it being real MDMA with this dude would be severely small :\

I saw in the news today mephedrone is now the 4th most popular drug in the U.K, after cannabis, cocaine and ecstacy.......... http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/health/newsid_10000000/newsid_10004300/10004366.stm

No suprise there. I've been away from the drug-taking crowd for a long time now, but mephedrone gets a mention quite often when I'm catching up with old friends. It really has become amazingly popular, banning it is only going to make things a lot worse.

Oh right, was gonna say - what a bellend he must be heh he!!

It's rife down here in Manc too mate all these weird and wonderful combos and "new" drugs:

"yea I've got this BANGING new batch of MDMA" - no you haven't you twat, it's 4-MMC

"It's this new drug that's 10x better than the best coke and best pills put together" - no it isn't you twat, it's 4-MMC

"Pssst - I can get this new drug called Superpussy and it's fuckin MINT but hard to get hold of. I'll do it you for £30 a G"

No you won't you twat - it's cheaps as chips and rwdily available online

etc etc...

First thing I thought of after reading Meph is 4th behind Ecstacy..... Where the fuck are these people sourcing MDMA from!

Not MDMA...'ecstacy'. Which translates into the 3rd most popular drug of choice being random pills bought off some dodgy geezer standing near the speakers in the club.

I know thats the worrying thing.... that means Pips are the 3rd most favoured drug!

Just remembered overhearing some people in the line for hospitality talking about how it was a plant feeder, ugh. Nearly turned round and said something but I shouldn't eavesdrop.

^ It has been judging by that BBC article.. Alot more meph than ket up here just now. I'd say it is definately here to stay.

Can't see methylone or MDPV ever really being as widespread. Maybe 4-methyaminorex would :D
