The weather forcast is looking to be cool for next week with showers and days tops of 20 - 25, could be perfect timing (once again)

But hell if the clouds block out the sun we will stomp in the mud.

That's perfect outdoor stomping all day weather

30+ and dry is craptaculur, you waste too much time trying to stay hydrated and cool

Waking up after a big night in a hot tent is not my idea of fun!

Damn work doesn't pay me to the day before rainbow but all has not been lost since centrelink pays me tommorow.

Whats the price of an average tarp and a shitty 2 man tent? Also I will be leaving Sunday because i have work on Monday does anyone know how much a taxi will cost or if there is even a way to organize one?

^ You should be able to get a lift into beaufort town - utilise the notice board at the info tent if you don't manage to meet any nice hippies (there might have even been a shuttle bus?!?). From there you'll be able to catch a train back to melbourne. Check out the v line site for journey planner.

At Coles in my area leading up to Xmas / New Years they were selling tents for $15 (2 man) but im not too sure on how well they would stand up to the elements considering the price.

As for the taxi i have no clue but id say it might cost you an arm and a leg, you could try to hitch a lift with some people who are headed back the same day as you, im sure someone would be willing to give a seat up for you.

Finally bought tickets today =D

I just wish I could pack the car already and go! This will be my first rainbow, so very much looking forward to it.

Tent is still not folded up from strawberry feilds.. Does anyone have any creative idea's for shade? I was thinking of taking a big kitchen tent of mine, but it takes up half the damn boot. Will there be many trees on site to create a shade shelter off?
 
can gazebo's and tarps be bought cheaply? the first few doofs I went to back in the day, I brought nothing but a tent. Too hot ever to go in. Sucks if you don't have shade.
