you SURE about this CH? i remember my old IV buddys saying how you needed to know a diabetic (or anyone with a legit reason to purchase syringes) and have THEM walk into a walgreens and pick them up... but this was 2-3 years back and im not certain they were 100% sure on the facts either.

so youre sure those are the rules in south FL? that anyone over 18 can walk into a walgreens/cvs and pick up a box, no questions asked? im just wanting to double check as ive heard conflicting info, to the point where my old IV buddies did without, cause they thought they had no way to buy them. but they may just have been misinformed.

When I was in FL (not south FL, but I am sure it is state-wide) I walked into a CVS (any CVS in the state I live in only sell needles by RX as a policy) and bought a box of needles without any sort of proof of being a diabetic.

Go ahead and try it. If you get resistance, say "oops left the insulin bottle at home, brb" and just leave and don't return.

If you're over 18 years of age, and know your brand, gauge, needle length , and volume, you should be able to buy them without a RX in FL.

Can a Dr. (M.D) who isn't "certified" to prescribe Sub/S-TEX for opioid dependence therapy, prescribe Buprenorphine the drug itself to a patient? It isn't going to be RX'd for OMT but for pain or whatever else the dr. deems fit. Can this dr. write a script for say subutex even though its for pain etc.? Hell the dr probly wont even know what it is or he might Im just wondering if an un-certified MD can RX Bupe, in either of its forms sub, s-tex, plain bupe....???

A doctor can prescribe buprenorphine for pain without the same qualifications that ORT doctors have. The reason being buprenorphine can be prescribed in an ampule called Buprenex.

I've bought rigs in Kissime, Fl and somewhere in Broward County with no problem. I just told them the size I wanted and didn't even get carded. I think I went to Walgreens both times but I'm not entirely sure.

I've only been using Six part Seven's sub/alcohol method since yesterday, and it's been working really well as far as absorption/effects, but the area under my tongue is really painful and irritated (feels a lot like a burn). I'd been using Everclear diluted with a little water and holding it under my tongue until the cotton turned white - about ten minutes.

I plan to switch to a lower proof, probably vodka, but is there anything else I can do to prevent this, and is it at all common? (I didn't see any mention of it in 6/7's thread.) Also, I'm assuming it's not a good idea to use any drug sublingually until my mouth has completely healed? I've been railing my subs since this afternoon, but my nose can normally only take that for two days, at the most.

Sorry for the onslaught of questions. I'd appreciate any advice, though.

Yeah you can use vodka, or gin, or rum, anything that's 80 proof or higher works just fine. The burn is common - my fiancee and I both perceived it. It's all good.

What is un-healed about your mouth?

Hmm, I guess the cottons I'm using are too large - I'll try making them smaller and see if that helps.

Well then maybe ~0.75mL of everclear is too much. Maybe you could try using 20-30 units instead (since that would be the equivalent of 75 units of 80 proof stuff)? I would assume that would still be fine.

However if you want to stick with 0.75mL and just keep it under there for 5 minutes instead, you can sure try that out and see what works for you.

Then I would at least add more water to dilute the alcohol, if not leave out some of the alcohol.

hahahha @ I should just do the sensible thing and top myself ... don't you people in the US love the unspeakable joys of "GP shopping" ? This is what i do thus running out of meds has never been an issue

Managed after a five hour argument with the drug service to dispense my meds one day early!! Your right about Europe, when in France I'd just pop to see any GP, state what dose of Benzos and Subutex I wanted and I'd get a script for 1-2 months - much more convenient but I've found such unsupervised consumption would lead to abusing the meds instead of using them as maintenance.

The only upside to the whole affair was when I finaly got my meds I god such a strong nod, like nothing I've had off sub or anything else, and super-strong opiate hallucinations!!! Maybe I'll take 3 day breaks more often.

I'm planning on meeting with the clinic manager as they seem to have no agreed or written protocols for emergencies, because at the moment its a mess, I was given 5 different stories as to why it wasn't possible, until I made a written complaint, then suddenly it was like 'okay, no probs, you can have the script early' - it made no sense to me at all. I understand they're wary as they're dealing with mostly ex Junkies (I got my addiction from an NHS Doctor who prescribed me max does Dihydrocodeine for nearly two years and was then surprised when I ended up addicted to them.

I've done private scri[ting but it ruinousley expensive. I worked out it would be cheaper for me to fly to Paris each month and stock up on meds!! When a maintenance service makes it harder to get your meds than scoring the naughty stuff...something's not quite right. And I've never given a bad UA, kept every appointment etc. I dread to think what its like for people who slip up a lot.

Topping myself wasn't neccessary in the end, which it the upside I suppose

\\\thanks, it was tongue in cheek, shouldn't really joke about hings like that as its not been a laughing matter for me in the past, and I'm sure a good number of fellow Bluelighters, just conveying what an absurd situation I'd found myself in. In the UK, even in maintenance the drug still has a 'hold' over you, limiting spontoneity, engendering shame (having to have supervised consumption for fist 6 weeks, everyone in the Pharmacy knew why you were there...bumping into a work collegue in said pharmacy who tried to engage me in conversation, but I couldn't as I had to let a pill dissolve under my tongue whilst the pharmacist watched me like a disapproving teacher - pretty humiliating

Will suboxone affect opium?

I have been blowing a little bit of suboxone the past couple of days since its been snowing and nothing to do. My friend said she might be getting some opium. Would suboxone diminish any feelings from the opium? I probably did less than 4mg in the past 2 days. Will probably do a little today.

well i wouldnt do any suboxone today if your gettin opium.. but i think you did a small enough amount of subs to not effect the opium.. you might not feel the complete effects of the opium but i think you'll still feel something.

Sorry if I conveyed that wrong. I didn't mean to make light of it - I'd never heard that phrase used that way and thought I was poking fun at a typo til I looked it up just now...doesn't really convey the same thing in US slang, which is why it amused me. Now I'm just embarrassed lol.

It must have been awful seeing a coworker there - I'm pretty shameless about my drug use, but that would have still been really awkward. I go to a different pharmacy for my subs than my other scripts b/c (most of) the pharmacists are such dicks if they know you have a substance problem. They look at me like I'm going to vault over the counter and take off with their pills. Which I would if I were more athletic.

The Brits don't own the copyright to English, you have plenty of words I wish we had kept, and you generate the majority of new ones. Personally I like making words up, desyncretisation, polyoligopoly etc.

OOOppps!! after sharing and wasting some Subs over Christmas and new years eve etc etc I find myself with 3 8mgs tabs for 13 days (when I'll be getting my refill) and I'm doing 2mgs AT LEAST per day...you people say snorting allows one to use less than one would normally do sublingually,right ? This is kinda worrying since there are days I use between 2-4mgs and now I'm in a situation I can't use more than 2mgs a day ...

IV is a little over 3x the BA of sublingual which is 30%, snorting is 50%. Unless you have stopped IVing (which would be ironic due to your username) that is your best bet, .6mg IV = 2mg sublingual.

Snorting only gets you a slightly higher BA, with often a shorter duration.

I would stick to the sublingual ROA, but try adding high proof liquor under neath your tongue with your Subutex.

1mg can seem like 2mg for sure with 6/7's method. That way you'll have enough to get you through to the next prescription.

my problem with IVing anything these days is that I managed to quit injecting drugs altogether for the last 8-9 months and that to me is a huge victory in itself after years and years of speedballing on a daily basis which has virtually left me with no veins besides the ones in places like my neck and groin which I never considered an option in the past ...for some reason I never had that "needle fixation" I hear a lot about in here ,probably 'cause I didn't start using drugs IVenously...I must say I feel quite tempted to try stuff like Dormicum or even Subutex IVed since I have easy access to both but I've managed not to indulge ,at least up till now ... well, as I suspected snorting seems the most reasonable thing to do ,higher BA than sublingual and without having to stick a needle in me again until I get my refill in 13 days ... still can't believe this has happened, giving them away like candy out of stoned/drunken generosity like I usually do and all of a sudden I realize that "spare box" isn't there after all , so used to having a lot of spare tabs that I didn't even notice what I'd done till yesterday when I was looking for that non-existant extra box
