true dat. but i do still wonder why we try the drug in the first place.
why do some feel the need and the desire to risk it?
Some people look up to others who happen to use drugs, whether they are soft or hard drugs. Or peer pressure.
Some people can use drugs just a few times and never again.
i understand how people may misinterpret the OP's thread here
i wouldnt want to make him feel bad by making a comment that was unnecessarily flippant....
after readig the other posts in here... its clear to me that a good few others can identify with what he is saying and what he means
It's ok, I think this topic has made some healthy posts and responses from those who posted, and sparked some thoughts into the minds of those who didn't.
I find it hard to believe that 15 days of usage would cause withdrawals.
What you miss and feel nostalgic about is using the opiates.
If you actually felt withdrawal, you wouldn't miss it, you would be wishing you never knew it and hoping you never feel it again.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't miss it at first (I don't believe there is one person in this world who never looked back at their opiate experience and felt nostalgic in some way, maybe warm in some way, maybe cravings, and also had fiercely negative thoughts about it).
Don't get me wrong, I
DID wish I never knew the drug and its WD's.
Don't get me wrong, I
DID hope I never felt it again. LIKE MAD!!
Even just 4 days is enough to feel withdrawals... I know, I remember. They may have been VERY light, but depending on the person, someone may certainly notice changes.
I feel nostalgic about the opiates, but I also got bored of them, the routine, and despised what I saw it was making me become* and leading me to, and moreso I
despised the people who were flat out junkies and their outlandish, desperate, backstabbing, whiny, angry, childish, and bitchy behavior.
Don't get me wrong...
*Thank god I could knew and could look at those people firsthand who were worse off than I and deeply addicted. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have taken much of it so seriously, despite all that this forum has told me. In general, drug use and culture has taught me a lot about the world.
its true the addiction would not have been that strong...... but i think this thread has touched on some interesting points about drug use and the sobreity that follows
i only have to read through the posts to see that....
Addiction was not that strong, withdrawal was not that strong, but it was definitely there.
I'm glad this thread is useful for
at least one person other than I.
