I assume that you are talking about a local anesthetic right? If it is a general then I would stay well away from the GBL...
I assume that a local would be fine, although I am basing that on no scientific knowledge what so ever
Maybe mention to the doctor that you take xyrem as a sleep aid or something if you are worried about it?

General anaesthesia + GBL sounds like a deathwish but would also presume it's just a local in this situation. Pretty sure I've had local anaesthetic jabs whilst on GBL with no problems but my memory may be telling me fibs.
Alternatively, you could always use the obvious anxiety to wangle a small benzo script from the dentist or get nitrous instead of novocaine

I'm basing my assumption that it must have happened on the fact that I've used GBL pretty much daily for the last coupla years and have had some dental work in that time. Alternatively, there's a reasonable chance the last coupla years were also all a GBL dream

So what are you lot who use GBL often, or even recreationally, going to do come the ban which is well, today!?
Isn't there another GBL drug (I forget what it's called) that's not being made illegal? Do you think that'll take over? Will GBL be available illegally to the same sort of scope as other illegal drugs? Come to think of it, does anyone use/buy good old regular GHB these days?
Had loads of fun with GHB when that was legal years ago

It's not too hard to buy abroad but I think that I'll just stop taking GBL.
DETOX LOG: feeling better today, I'm hoping to get some natural sleep tonight. I hope so. I'm down to just doing 1.5ml throughout the night.

Apparently that other 'gbl' drug is also going to be banned, I asked last page. The only option for getting the G seems to be taking a risk and ordering from overseas. Not sure i'd feel too comfortable doing that.

Well my door was not knocked down at 6am.
I am tentatively going for the fact of the Police not going through all records and busting doors down. I know that always was an extreme view, but all records end up somewhere.
I'm finding out different substances to replace it with. And there is the fact that GBL is no way perfect.
I only use it now for hangover cures (lasting 24 -36 hours obviously......but no one at work is any the wiser, which they would be if I started hair of the dog up).
Dopmine rebound is the main cause of the first stages of withdrawal. Treacle can have his view (which is wrong in the short term and I do have OCD), but the fact is when I have used promethezine (dopamine antagonist) and benzos's (not huge amounts) I have been able to sleep and that would be after 5 days or less 24/7.
I'm going to get the 100g phenibut after crimbo and try out valkyrie's uses.
I don't want to be a drug addict, just someone who uses available tools to make my life better.

OK, the beginning stages may be that, but G releases dopamine from a dose that doesn't knock you out, so that theory has holes in it. It only inhibits dopamine in doses that floor you. Have you never noticed the energy you get after a normal dose of G? The GABA-B downregulation plays far more of a role than anything, and I can say that due to phenibut withdrawal being almost identical. Phenibut twats GABA-B receptors.

I'm gonna get your 100g phen and try it out after christmas a few times a week like Valkerie. But In the last few months I have had no propblems with my methods of withdrawing and continuing life with/without GBL.
I actually prefer life without it now.As I said it is the best hang over converter. But all the numerous other reasons I used it for over 5 years I have got at least semi-covered.
I just hope that when I really can't get some that I have a lifestyle/substance regime that helps me out. I know that GBL offered me many benefits. I shall miss it.

Twice a week. One day on, 2-3 days off. If I do it more I don't get the same effect.
