the point of my inquiry was why a promoter wouldn't even defend (actually rather DENY) my statement in page2 of this thread of my being asked to play this party. if a promoter with two feet to stand on read this, and was offended by my statement which actually had no merit, they would challenge it. right? sorry, but i'm not in the business of airing out dirty laundry unless it's towards geek or some other person who has stepped on my toes in the past. jimmy nor turtle stood up for themselves...which kind of surprised me considering the integrity they claim they have
it wasn't to start a shit-storm. it wasn't to cause to drama. it was in an effort to solicit a response from the promoter, to the contrary or otherwise, that i was misinformed. i didn't get that. everybody else on bluelight opines on their likes/dislikes whether it be of a financial matter, a logistic issue or just a random critique on their feelings on why they should/shouldn't/did/didn't attend. for once i am actually pushing for a response in regards to an honest inquiry.
hence my further pushing the issue at hand that you pay your talent if your bottom line doesn't match their own. even if it isn't the amount they generally get for playing in a different market based on their talent as opposed to what you think they deserve for their time, effort, and contribution to the agenda at hand which, according to jimmy in particular, is the promotion of EDM in the midwest.
