How much did you do to get that effect?

Did you have a serious adverse reaction to your first dose or did you like it and keep taking it until you'd taken too much?

yes i just can't control my use and feel like complete shit now. it's so fiendish to me. i've got some mdpv and thats supposed to be even worse for fiending so i'm scared to near it. would throw it all in bin but spent over £100 on it all. so fucking ashamed man.

yep i have got rid of the shit now. it's evil, spent hundreds on it and got nowhere, takes over all logic. bye bye mephedrone.

MDPV is fiendish but i find it fiendish in a different way to mephedrone.

With mephedrone you are so high and loved up you just want the good feelings to continue (and they do, at least with the first redose or so - it's just when you overdo it it gets really nasty).

With MDPV once you get a proper feel for the effects you smoke more to get higher, not to prolongue the high.

Basically MDPV fiending is a lot more like you'd experience with coke or speed whereas mephedrone fiending felt strangely different to me. If you can handle coke, speed and similar you may well find mdpv doesn't present you with the kind of problems mephedrone did.

Has anyone else noticed that drone is changing drug culture in the sense that a hell of a lot more people are still awake at 6 in the morning on a sunday these days? I think it's a really noticable indication of its exploding popularity. I was with some mates on drone in this situation yesterday and we started randomly phoning people, as you do, and loads of our acquaintances were in the same state. Kind of puts me in mind of crystal meth in the US.

Same. Sigh, everything about this drug just reminds me of what I've seen/read about methamphetamine. While maybe it's not comparable (I haven't tried meth), the ridiculous binges, complete lack of sleep/nutrition and watching people desperately try and get hold of more when it runs out is very shit.

Perhaps it's just me, but weekends were a lot better when people did pills in a club, had a few spliffs and went to bed. The amount of people now doing Friday-Sunday+ benders on this that I know is simply ridiculous.

Beyond the obvious negatives of people being addicted to a stimulant, have you seen many of the major side-effects manifest themselves amongst your group?

i.e. purple knees/elbows, chest pains, blotchy skin.

I'm really interested in getting a wider view of the negative effects that this is having. Most people seem to say that 'all my friends are into it', which means that this is probably even bigger and more widespread than many consider it to be. I've had the same experience, all of my friends who would take anything are now taking this almost exclusively (although not more than once a week - which is still too much in my opinion). So, unfortunately, if this is as toxic as people are saying it is we should really be seeing some massive numbers of negative side-effects beginning to emerge.

I reckon it might just be you. Weekend long benders have been going on since way before meph got on the scene!

Yep.

This re-writing of Ecstasy history (totally safe drug that everyone took and were in bed by 2am) is getting ridiculous.

Blotchy skin yes, but not blue knees/elbows to any great extent, nor chest pains.

Main problem I have seen is paranoia. On an alarming regularity.

Would be cool to hear how the things are in Israel, since they had meph there before it hit Europe. Could give us some info on long time effects...

and burst of rage and anger.

this generation in the uk due to meph and the recession is going to be a lost one.

i could have made £100000s off meph like some people i know did, but chose not to. there are a handful of people in this scene who are largely responsible for this epidemic and they are laughing their way to the bank.

lol, that's taking it a bit far...especially considering that it will be illegal and not so easily/cheaply obtainable within the next 12 months or so.

The recession (well, actually, the underlying problems that the recession is a symptom of) I can agree with you. But meph? Cigarettes and booze are going to screw up far more people's lives in 'this generation' than meph could ever even dream of ruining.

Hahah, i can see the headlines now...

Mephedrone causes credit crunch. Generation lost to Research Chemicals.

since the ban is coming propably sooner than later, does anybody have experience with a few months (or more) old mephedrone? dont wanna stock up just to find out in a couple of months that i got fridge full of harmless powder...

I'm surprised there haven't been more reports of people having psychological problems from this drug. There are lots of written cases of people having heart and circulation issues, but I would have expected more reports of anxiety and depression, since it does deplete serotonin to some degree.

Ecstasy was hyped so much as messing with our brains and causing huge amounts of damage, and if anything it would seem meph is more toxic - yet where are the media this time with claims that we are going to have a generation of mentally ill ex-ravers with Parkinsons etc?
