the official 2010 NFL thread!

The Saints fans were saying Who Dat since 1967.

The Bengals said "Who DEY", and didnt start saying that until 1981.

But nice try

yeah but this is also a person that picked the pats over the saints 34 - 31....

so....don't take them too seriously.

SAINTS!

who dat is also a new orleans thing, along the lines of "where y'at?"

soooooo enjoy virginia beach, man.

actually, the Bengals had that gawd awful stupid "who dey" cheer after the Saints implemented their "who dat" cheer. no offense to all of the involved parties, but I think they are all retarded.

regardless, Drew Brees made everyone wish they had him on their fantasy team last night. I can't remember the last time the New Orleans Saints had such a big game - it seems that the last couple of years the Saints have only played in so-so games that included their underachieving conference and some out of NFC South teams at home that left for more to be desired. the Saints were on the national spotlight last night and they proved themselves to be true contenders, with Brees effortlessly throwing up 5 TDs against an inexperienced, yes, but fundamentally sound Patriots defense.

for the first time in awhile, I think that the elite teams of the NFC could easily beat out what will most likely be Peyton Manning's Colts in the Super Bowl.

god damn Steelers need to get healthy. I find it hilarious that both the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Pittsburgh Steelers combined have enough injured players to start their own Pittsburgh basketball team. it's tough to compete when your star defensive lineman, star defenseman, star quarterback, and only O-lineman worth a damn are injured.

Saints are not SB material. Too many questions on Defense. Yes they force turnovers but they also give lots of yards and points. There are 16th in the league in total D, and some of the teams they have played have been pretty weak. We saw what a team could do that has a great running attack can do against them when N.O escaped St Louis a few weeks ago. And Steven Jackson was the ONLY weapon the Rams had, and N.O barely won I believe 28-23.

i wouldn't mind barely winning the superbowl though. i wouldn't say they've had a cakewalk either, they beat the eagles, the jets (while they were good), the giants, the falcons, the patriots. i wouldn't be surprised to see them go deep or win the superbowl. when your offense is as potent as theirs is, you can afford to be mediocre defensively.

What's the difference when your Offense can put up 40 points a game?
