the official 2010 NFL thread!

kenickie-kisses are the best kind.

can you give one to Big Ben as well, so he can play Sunday night?

I hope Troy plays Sunday and Dennis Dixon does not. I like Dixon but not against RayRay and the Ratbird attack.

Thank you Oakland for lucking one out! :D

The highlight game of next week is obviously the Monday night New England @ New Orleans, but I'm also looking forward to a few others.

Arizona @ Tennessee is going to be an interesting game, I believe. Chris Johnson and Vince Young looked damn good last weekend, and I believe they can limit Arizona's possessions and thus keep them from a scoring match.

Pittsburgh @ Baltimore is going to be a good one as well. I'm not ready to pick this one yet, because I'm leaning to Pittsburgh but am scared to pick them after the performance last week.

Feelings on these games?

vegas says new orleans, -3. my head says the saints, my heart says the patriots. should be an awesome game.

between the baltimore defence, home field and pittsburgh's shaky result last week, i think that baltimore will get the better of pittsburgh this week.

Arizona VS Tenn = although the Cards are both playoff bound and (in my opinion) one of the top 5 teams of the NFL; they will most certainly lose this game. why, you ask? a couple reasons. Arizona doesn't need to win this game, they are already +3 ahead in their division. but the most important reason why the Cards will lose this game is because Kurt Warner may not be playing. the RB for the Titans, C. Johnson, is having a career year and the team is reinvigorated behind Vince Young. the Titans are a team every playoff-wanting football team should be scared to play in November/December; they are playing loose football with no worries at all.

New Orleans VS New England = although I think New Orleans is the better team and Super Bowl bound (sorry, Vikes) I think that the Pats will eek this one out in what happens to be the making of a great MNF game. both teams have great Quarterbacks, and the New Orleans defense has been a great surprise this year. it seems like every week the Patriot defense is playing better and better, with the secondary learning and fixing their mistakes. I think that the Saints have a much better run game than the Pats, this year. they have three backs that can work you over and three pairs of fresh legs. however, I think the Hoodie wins this one.

Pittsburgh VS Baltimore = I hate Baltimore, as a Steelers fan, but I respect them as a team and boy oh boy do I love this rivalry! it is smash mouth, hard hitting football at it's best. last year, these two teams were the cream of the crop in the AFC. although Baltimore has fell on some bad luck and the Steelers have lost a shocking two in a row, I think that Big Ben will rally the Steelers in for victory. Baltimore's secondary is porous and I think that Big Ben will take advantage of that. between the two teams, the Ravens seem like the more beatable...

Wow, way to fall apart in the second half, Houston! I almost picked the Texans to win, but decided they were a bit too inconsistent to knock off Indy. I didn't expect anything of this caliber, though...

^ hellz yeah, man. I'm glad the Bills finally won another one. I was in Buffalo on Monday and I was thinking it's about time they won again.

i can't believe you are taking the pats over kenickie's saints. no fucking way man.

I'm rather split on the decision. in the predictions thread I actually picked your Saints. good luck :)

looks like Dennis Dixon is starting instead of Ben Roethlisberger, as I suspect he couldn't get his head injury cleared with the league. I am very nervous for my Steelers, but thankfully the Ravens themselves aren't quite the team they have been the last couple years (Joe Flacco has gone a lot of games without a pass TD). I am hoping that Heath Miller, Hines Ward, Rashard Mendenhall, and Santonio Holmes step up and help out Dennis Dixon at the QB spot. I remember when Dixon was almost a Heisman lock until he injured his leg late in the season.

something can happen! I remember when Tommy Maddox got injured and a rookie Ben Roethlisberger stepped in and led the team to 15 straight wins. please help me out ye football gods.

The Texans had a massive lead against Indy in the first quarter. I got my hopes up for a brief moment, and then of course, like soooo many times before, we blew it. I officially give up on the crappy Texans.

looks like I'll be having a MNF party. hopefully this will be a real humdinger.

I despise the Pats since my years living in Boston as a tried and true Steelers backer, but it would be nice to see the Saints lose at least one game before the playoffs. I wish I could root for the Patriots, but I could never in a thousand years.

WHO DAT? can anybody bring me sum jambalaya?

axl, i might have to kick you. i can't believe you would say such a thing about my team. the saints deserve this, you know?

WHO DAT!!!!!!
