Not judging but....

Because they are addicted to other drugs that are similar. Or actually many other reason's this is a fucking stupid question. Why does one have sex without condoms knowing what is coming ??
 
I did know of what happens to most people. However, the people that first introduced it to me never explained how it happens.
 
Cuz it feels good, when you have the heroin/pills/any opiates. best feeling in the world. thats why i used
 
cuz you know...so many people are into it there must be something to it. I better try it just once to see what its all about
 
Ive wondered this myself. Not the fact of using, but using till you are addicted, when everyone obviously knows how addictive the drug is before they even start. But for some people its all they have that gives them peace of mind, pleasure, relaxation. And if thats the case then id say your weak for NOT using. Why turn your back on your only pal.

I can understand someone trying drugs out alot more than i can understand someone who refuses to.
 
I'd say that the percentage of people who have tried heroin and are now addicted to it is a very misleading statistic.

I'd say a good portion of heroin addicts were already hooked on vicodin or oxycodone, tried heroin, and said "Wow! Now I can get even higher for less money!"
 
alot of people have nothing else to look forward to in life.

alot of people have treatment resistant depression and self medicate

alot of people dont care if they die

if your suicidal then why not have some fun before you go out?

You never know what's coming for you down the road.

I don't regret using heroin. I've been clean from it for over a year now.

Not everyone regrets the decisions they've made in life.

Thank you for bringing this issue up.

Treatment resistant depression can come from a lot of different things. It is theorized some people have endogenous issues with their endorphins, which predisposes such individuals to opiate addiction more than the general population.

hi, i thought the original question was just, knowing friends plus the people i work with, a lot of them ask themselves the same question and long to get off their rollercoaster and back to some normality.

I can't really say that for sure, but only roughly 2,000 people die per year as a result of heroin in the US.

That's a drop in the bucket if you compare that to 440,000 people dying each year from tobacco related illnesses/diseases, or the 110,000 people who die each year as a result of alcohol.

If you know what is ahead then there's no way to change it, is there? Otherwise you wouldn't truly know what's ahead.

So if you did or did not know what's ahead, you'd still try the drugs.

haha- fosho! i mean, of course being a drug addict has caused me alot of issues. but i don't think i would trade my experiences with heroin. it helped make me who i am. and as i have mentioned before, you don't know what is really important to you materially until you have an expensive drug habit! i am so much less materialistic now. gave me alot of time to think and meditate too.
