Not an urgent question fortunately. Just curious. What medicines or remedies might be found in a persons medicine cabinet that can be used to help someone who accidentally overdosed on opiates? I was thinking caffeine would fight the nod and increase heart rate and breathing but then I remembered that it increased the activity of opiates. Is it a beneficial trade off or not? Assuming someone is having respiratory depression and slowed heart rate. What else can be used?
This is of course not a replacement for calling 9-11, just something you can do in the meantime when help is a ways away.
