I want to have an IV line installed

I've had two of these, one in each crook of my arm, after overdosing to give me all kinds of shit. One lasted a solid week before coming out of my vein and the other fell out within a day or two.

Eh well I was just treated over a period of five days with antibiotics IV and I was sent home with the gelco in my arm. They've got a spring-loaded stopper that opens when the luerlock is screwed in. They even let me inject myself at home the last two days.

I doubt they would install one for those reasons, but if they do infection is not an issue really if you wipe your shit with alcohol swabs and practice standard sterile procedure.

And they can only be in for a maximum of three days, or until redness pain or swelling develops around the site.

Oh and as to slamming the coke, it was badass. I don't do coke often but I had to jump on the oppotunity.

haha, they aren't going to put an I.V catheter in for a sprained foot, and before you leave the hospital, the first thing they do is pull out the I.V catheter. Not even close bud.

PLUSSSSSs. everytime you attach anything to the port you HAVE to clean it and sanitize it. Think about it, there is an open hole straight into your body. So so so so soooooo easy to get an infection if you don't know what your doing.

Yeah, I figured we can keep this open so as to explain to people that unless you're going to only use a port for < 1 day, and it's because you're going to be otherwise injecting into your body 100's of times in the given slot of time, it's not worth the risk of infection to use it.

Once when I escaped from the hospital with an IV in my arm they sent the cops to my house

And I had to pull that shit out or go back in the ER and have them do it

reason #61 not to do this: I did a rapid detox under anaethesia [bad, in case you were wondering] once in Toronto. They left the stint in my hand from the anaesthesia the next day as I recovered/writhed in their bed. It kept getting caught on the bed sheets, which pulls the vein. That's one less hand vein for me--I can barely see it now. R.I.P. mid-left hand vein.

I used a cannula sometimes in IV coke sessions, but with a constant drip of saline solution and kept it no more of 7-8 hours.
IMHO I don't suggest the use of it because the high infection risk.

I've always wanted to be able to personally install an IV line to my vein so I wouldn't have to keep sticking myself with a needle. It seems like a good idea, but if it would get a blood clot - the clot could travel to my brain and kill me - or I could develop a bad infection that could become lethal.

That's why whenever you leave the hospital legally their suppose to remove it because if they don't and you get sick - they could get their ass sued big time!

If you can't find a vein to hit with a normal needle, what makes you think you can install an IV line?
