I want to have an IV line installed

My friend is coming over and I want to IV heroin as a one off birthday present with him. I have done this quite a number of times a few years ago but have difficulty in hitting veins for some reason, even with exercise etc. I am thinking of going to my local ER to have my foot looked at as I think I sprained it. I would like to have an IV line (or whatever it's called) installed so that I don't have to continually stab myself and so I can just use a needleless syringe to shoot the drug solution easily. I would remove this the next day anyway, but I want to know whether while I'm there for my suspected sprained or broken foot I would be able to convince them to put it in for this purpose if I am honest, or do they only put them in for specific reasons other than for drug harm reduction? I would've thought they'd agree to this sort of thing here in the UK but maybe I'm wrong?!
 
They will not let you walk out of the hospital with an IV in your arm

Once when I escaped from the hospital with an IV in my arm they sent the cops to my house

And I had to pull that shit out or go back in the ER and have them do it
 
I've left with IV lines in, but they were there for completely innocent reasons and I was quite young at the time, so there was no suspicion that I wanted it for other reasons. I was also due back in hospital a day later so there was no point in removing it.

I see the chances of them putting a line in for the genuine reason somewhere between zero and getting thrown out of the hospital.
 
More then likely you wont get an iv for a sprained foot, and they wouldn't let you leave with it for sure, and for some reason they did, you would need to do flushes anyway to keep your blood from clotting on the tip of the needle, which could result in death if not done. As ChemicalSmile said maybe you need some help if your willing to go this far.

They didnt let me leave , i booked it and out ran the security guards

they stopped giving me hydromorphone so I didnt wanna hang out no more :\

I can't stand being in the hospital unless im seriously sedated

I'd rather be in pain at my house , yeah know

no problems with infection or anything and yeah who wants to stab themselves with syringes when you can walk around all day with a stint in your arm?

It would get infected with the quickness , I was only going to use mine for a day or so

but the hospital was all over that shit

If you overdose with that in your arm they'd be fucked
 
Huh? I walked out after a surgery once with the IV still fed in my hand. I didn't realize it until I was leaving because I was so high from the anaesthesia so I had to go back and ask a nurse to take it out.

Anyway, you can just buy these and follow a guide from a nurse's manual to figure out how to get them installed. The greater danger to you is probably the heroin.
 
If you can manage normal IV, with a bit of effort you can put a temp line in. What others have said about the flushing and potential risks is all true, though.
 
It wouldnt get infected if it was only left in for a day or 2...

but anyways, OP, this is ridiculous...

OP, this is a BAD idea, unless you like the thought of infection or amputation--and no hospital ANYWHERE is gonna give you a IV tube for a freaking twisted ankle. More likely to get a few Motrin and a ACE bandage....lolz..
