the official 2010 NFL thread!

Woooo Niners! Old Frank Gore returned to the Stick and Hasselbeck was hammered out of the game...love it. Shaun Hill still looks meh but he's not losing the games and that's what matters right now.

2-0 Niners travel to the Metrodome to face the 2-0 Vikings next week. Here comes a big test for Singletary's boys.

Frank Gore lit it up! it's nice to see him returning to his 2006 form. I will admit that I suspected he had already hit his stride, like many other RBs in the brutal NFL.

damn Steelers lost, I always hate it when that happens. it was shocking to see a great defense transform into only a good defense, with the absence of Polamalu. Steelers PK Jeff Reed is usually on point, but he missed TWO field goals at a rainy Soldier Field. props to Jay Cutler for proving that he doesn't suck.

now we got the Cowboys VS Giants in a new, massive, and in my opinion vapid stadium in Arlington Texas. some worthless teen idol sung the national anthem - why does everything have to be such a show for the Boys? hopefully we'll have a good game. I got the Giants by a touchdown.

Wow. The Colts run defense looks absolutely atrocious tonight. Miami isn't that good to be marching down the field at will like that, wildcat or not.

man... ginn looked awfully lethargic tonight. that early attempt where he could have sprawled out and had it (went off his fingertips) was bad enough, but that final attempt that SHOULD have been a TD??? both hands on the ball and he didn't make the catch. as an OSU fan... i don't know what to say.

My Week 2 top 10:

1 Ravens
2 Saints
3 Eagles
4 NY Giants
5 Steelers
6 Falcons
7 Vikings
8 Colts
9 Patsies
10 Bears

Honorable mention: 49ers

And I wonder, are the Titans the best 0-2 team in the NFL? :p

Steelers are on upset alert. however, I think that in all normalcy Pittsburgh should have won the game in Chicago (Jeff Reed rarely misses field goals, and I have been cursing his name all week) - but that is just how the cookie crumbles. I have been giving Cincinnati props all year long - their defense looks good and their offense better than average. the Bengals could win, I just surely hope that they don't. they just beat a very well rounded, good football team in the Packers.

Week 3 Top 10:

1. Baltimore Ravens - now with more offense!
2. New York Giants - tough on defense, just good enough air-attack
3. Minnesota Vikings - so far, so good
4. Pittsburgh Steelers - need to develop a ground attack
5. Atlanta Vikings - can run the ball, can pass the ball
6. New Orleans Saints - they're the Aints no more
7. New York Jets - will probably win their division
8. New England Patriots - still a team that knows how to win
9. Philadelphia Eagles - can they win without McNabb?
10. San Diego Chargers - one Ray Lewis tackle away from undefeated

wow. there is a real changing of the guard in the last two NFL seasons. I'm loving it! as LL said parity is nothing but more entertaining for us arm-chair quarterbacks :)

Week 3 Top 10:

5. Atlanta Vikings - can run the ball, can pass the ball
:)

:) anyway...

Surprise 2-0 teams: Saints. Just the capabilities of that offense wows the shit out of me. They've always been an offensive minded team, but holy shit

Jets: I didn't think they'd buy into Ryan's program that quickly or Sanchez would play so well this soon.

Suprise 0-2 teams: the fucking TITANS! Where the hell was this 'titan defense??' Letting the Texans hang what, 34 on them? LOL

Miami: Thought they'd come out of the gate with at least the win against Atlanta

hopefully the weather puts a stop from Drew Brees putting up Drew Brees like numbers. the Bufallo D is vastly improved, too. circle the wagons!
