Oh my days. People complaining about cats smelling the worst and having to empty lit trays?!?!

Get a fucking cat flap! Then they take themselfs out for a shit instead of you having to take them out and help them like dogs!

You can have a night out if you leave a pile o' biccies and the cat will look after itself! A dog would just sit there and shit everywhere for the night.
 
Dogs, for sure. Dogs can and will go with you anywhere while cats have to stay inside and mope everywhere. Don't get me wrong, I have a cat at home and I love her. She's really playful and sweet but I plain prefer doggies. No cat has ever grabbed my heart like a dog.
 
Cats don't have to stay inside and mope anywhere... what u talkin bout?

Haha. Dude, cat (and dog) owners come in all flavours...some are lazy/neglectful and don't care for their pet properly, your buddy sounds like one of them, but cats are more than just eating and shitting machines. Some cats are almost as friendly and sociable as dogs.

ps- I clean my cat's litter box at least twice a day. ;) She doesn't stink and she's very interactive.
 
I love both for different reasons. I can't wait til I can have both that are 100% my own. I've always had to share or leave behind or something.

I love how cats are just so moody and have such interesting personalities. I love how they pur, I love the faces they make, I love the way that they act. They are cute and soft. I love when they get pissed off or scared and do the sidewindy thing. Lol. That gets me every time.

I love dogs because of the loyalty. Just how they follow you around and can sense things that are going on. I love it when you're having an absolutely shitty day, you come home, start to cry, and your dog just licks all over your face, like dude calm down it's going to be ok. And also when they get apeshit excited when you get home and walk through the front door.

My cats have an hilarious habit of stalking an inanimate object, being really fixated on it, and jumping 3ft in the air when I make a "sss" noise. It cracks me up no end!!

Ahhh I love this too! There's NOTHING like a dog-greeting! They have literally waited all day for you to come home, and there is nothing more important to them in the world at that moment. There is nothing else quite like it <3

I love it when I give my dog a bath, afterwards he gets really hyper and does happy-laps of the whole house =D
 
i've noticed that people who are more controlling and like to micromanage things tend to be dog people, and people who are more "go with the flow" type (ie fucking hippies) tend to be cat people.


i fucking love my kitties <3 except my new girl is allergic to cats, so i dont know what i'm going to do, because i woudlnt trade her or my kitties for anything :\

Does she take any anti-histamines e.g. Zyrtec, Telfast etc? They're safe to take every day if she's around your kitties all the time, or she can just take them on the day's she'll be visiting your house.
If she's really really bad e.g. throat closes up or tongue swells up and blocks her airway when she's having an allergic reaction, then obviously you'll have to look in to it more seriously with an allergy specialist.

I was always really allergic to cats when I was a kid, and we always had a cat. I frequently had allergic facial symptoms, itchy eyes, runny nose, puffy cheeks etc. But I've constantly been exposed to the allergen my whole life, and now I'm pretty much not allergic to cats anymore. I only ever get a reaction if I've not been vacuuming the house frequently enough, or if I put my face actually on a cat.

I've also worked at an animal hospital, and virtually all the cats I encountered were hostile. If an animal posed a hazard, the cage card would be marked with an 8. 99% of all the cats had an 8 (or multiple 8's) on their cage card.

Cats are selfish creatures. A dog will take a bullet for you. Dog's actually give a shit about their owners....

Have you ever actually owned a cat though??
Cats as patients (possibly in pain) in a noisy scary hospital are entirely different to cats as pets in familiar comfortable surroundings.

They are completely selfish creatures though, ain't denying that ;)
 
With dogs, you love them, feed them, house them and they think "Wow! She's a god!"

With cats, you love them, feed them, house them and they think "Wow! I'm a god!"
