Mushroom season 2009

To my understanding there's not a lot of activity in the newy/syd area in this time of year it doesn't get cold enough for subs so in the warmer months cubes and such are around in paddocks as in the shit of cows and alike. I don't know for sure but that's just what I've gathered sorry but the vague info

thanks for that. i was also wondering what time of year do the cubes generally start growing, as i live on a farm with plenty of cows and plenty of shit.. and are there any other factors that for some reason make them grow? sun/shade etc...

well mushrooms that i have seem strong and rather introspectiveness......no nausea, in some ways they have a more spread of intensity then LSD which is like in some ways has the same single minded intent that say taking meth has.

Does any one no of any good hunting areas in northern sydney between like hornsby and chatswood? Any like paddocks or national parks or anything with pinee or animals???

Yeah shorty you are pretty late, if you don't have any experience I would say you wont have any luck picking up the scraps this late in the season.

Be prepared and start going out early in the season next year and you are pretty much guaranteed to be rewarded. Until then you are going to have to stick with other substances.

I wouldn't say they are that common but I have ran into a few over the years. It is just such slim pickings that its not the best environment to be going out and getting experience in and I would be surprised if you had any luck.

Start looking late April/early May 2010 and do some reading up on shroomery and you are pretty much guaranteed to find something. That is hunting for psilocybe subaeruginosa Southern NSW though. If you wait a little while until the warmer months you might have a shot at finding psilocybe cubensis in Northern NSW but I don't know anything about that.

Does anyone else find it curious that there is a mushroom season thread every year that coincides with Southern australia's season but you never see anything on Northern Australian hunters. I would be quite interested to hear a bit about a different type of shroom hunting.

Yeeew the days and nights are slowly warming up....11 days left of winter i heard? SEQ/NNSW hunters feeling me? :D

^ I will take a stab in the dark and say you will be working VERY hard for slim pickings in WA now if you were an experienced picker, let alone a newbie. Better luck next year.

Wet and cold weather is what you want for subs, southern WA's season is relatively short compared to VIC or SA I think but I don't know a lot about it.

Seriously dude if you had bothered to read any of this thread you could of answered your own question.

You are right drug mentor... No one ever reads back through threads

Everything you need to know about sub hunting other than I.Ding is in here somewhere

Got another small spray in south west vic but it's all but over now

I have recently thoroughly checked good sites in both melbourne and gippsland with no actives to be seen.

There has been hardly any rain and we've had some 20 degree days now so it's all over till next season hunters

Thanks to dehydration and dessicant (silica gel) i have enough to get myself through till next may :)

Once the rain and cold hits again next April we will be back in business

A decent soak of rain and day temps of 16/night temps of 6 for a week are a good sign for melb hunters

I find them in the s.e burbs after the first frosts in april (around the 15th)

They really peak around may

I hope this thread helped you all in your search for the mystical mushrooms of southern Australia

I enjoyed posting all season

All the best for next season

Psilo %)

I still managed to acquire 3-4g dried Psilocybe Subaerignosa from a mate who has only just picked them. I was extremely surprised as I thought the Melbourne Season was well over, hmm apparently not.
