Leave it to Jack to gay-up three[ish] techno[ish] legends . . .

I was thinking this was kind of "flashy".. but didn't know.

Also do u think that u and hyperactive are long lost brothers???

u need a soul patch like him!!!!

"an hours drive" from Indy would be.... Richmond, Bloomington, Lafayette.
Dayton is more like a 2 hours drive, roughly.

Semantics aside, there are multiple answers to your question:

1: Its a Free Country. Thats why.

2: Its not your money, so why do you care how it is spent?

3: This is the Midwest, not Florida. We like Techno here. Always have, always will. I'm not dogging breaks, in fact Keith MacKenzie was @ Therapy in Indy this year already , so take that into consideration. Its the same reason Dayton folks may not want to come to Indianapolis.

4: Many folks, and by folks i mean "not kids" in Indy don't give a flying trainwreck what's going on in Ohio. They work jobs, usually two jobs. Would like to go to a bar and a have a few drinks, hear 3 great DJs that they haven't seen in the same room on the same night in about 15 years, and not have to worry about driving 2 hours home afterwards.

5: There are literally millions of people between Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. If one party can't get a few hundred heads through the door, don't blame the other party. Blame the promoter's inability to do their job.

6: Because to some of us a "full scale event" is more than 3 headliners and 13 regionals.

7: Because this is such a non-drama, and no one gives a shit. Once promoters start hacking each other's social networking accounts (like info-lines in the past, some of you may be too young to remember), at least then we'll have some resemblance of a scene that is worth drudging up competitive antics. But that time hasn't arrived, friend.

8: Some wish they could attend both events, and so its somewhat bamboozling that two solid events fall on the same date.

As this event emerged much later than the second installment of Floorplay, there are likely many committed to attending Floorplay, perhaps harboring a desire to attend an event such as this if it were on a different date.

it pretty much boils down to musical taste. If you prefer breaks, Floorplay is your event that night, if you prefer techno, go to Midwest OG's. They're 2 hrs apart, I don't see what the big deal is. Had one or the other done an event in the same city. same night, I'd be agreeing with everyone about 2 shows one night. Maybe Tony will hack Jason's voicemail and put directions to his party on there LOL

this just in... Acid house discovered on moon!

also, Michael Jackson died!

hopefully I can make it out to this. I'll be moving to my new place on the 1st, so I may be completely worn out by evening. :(
