[LSD subthread] - Set & Setting Considerations

Taking Lsd for the first time

Alright I'm planning to buy a hit of acid sometime soon and I need to know some things.
1. What should I expect and what does the beginning of a trip feel like
2. Will I start panicking? cause I did the first time I had weed a long time ago
3. Is it possible to go out places tripping??
Tell me please need to know

1) Depends on the dosage but it will probably be pretty intense.
2) Panic is possible, just deal with it like you would any panic - it'll be over soon, it's harmless.
3) I wouldn't go outdoors on your first trip just in case you panic and ask someone to call the police to "come and help you".
 
Please read more, we get tired of spoon feeding the same simple information over and over again.

The Big and Dandy First Time Tripper Thread

1) The beginning of a trip can be anxious for some. Just relax, take it all in and go with it. Resisting it leads to panic.
2) If you get confronted with something you fear and run away from it; yes. Confront your fears, go with the trip.
3) Some people enjoy going out in public tripping. Last thing I would do though. I like peaceful settings while tripping. I trip solo. Some people like it though.
 
man... i was way let down on my first hit... buy two or three just in case it's weak...IMO
 
^hmmm, not good advice there. The OP is already worried about panic and intensity and is contemplating a public setting. For a first time take 1 hit. Some hits are indeed quite strong. For a first time tripper it's especially important to start low to get a feel for the effects. Some like to plunge in but in the spirit of HR I'll say just take 1 hit.

Look up your hit in the regional drug discussion sections of this site to see what other people are saying about contents and dosage of that particular hit.

EDIT: Buy however many you want obviously, but only consume 1 to start.
 
1. Don't expect anything and by people telling you it may even ruin your trip
2. Nobody can tell if your going to panic, read about set&setting.
3. Of course it's possible, why not? But not every setting is best for everyone, if you feel like going somewhere then go somewhere.

Stop worrying
 
Always take 1 hit when you have unknown blotter. After all you don't always know what they lay on them, these days.

Sure, tripping on 3-4 hits of LSD is fun. Not so fun when it turns out to be bromo dfly or some such shit.
 
So, I've never tried LSD, or any other psychedelic for that matter, but there's a big weekend coming up, and I'm really considering trying LSD at one of the events, so I don't have to roll two days in a row.

Here's how the weekend will look like:

Friday night: Outdoor field rave 9:00 PM - 9:00 AM
Saturday night: Club event (Kill the Noise, AC Slater, Kidd Kaos) 9:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Since I don't wanna roll two nights in a row, I'm thinking about trying acid for the first time Friday night, and then rolling Saturday night. Is this a good idea? Would an outdoor, probably less intense, and lack of security/authority figures setting be a good place to try acid for the first time, opposed to a club setting?

What should I expect? I really love dancing and EDM, so would I still be able to function somewhat normally and dance my fucking face off?

One last question... would it be a bad idea mixing cocaine with LSD?
 
Electronic is great on lsd, my brain was comprehending it as insane metal riffs for some reason lol. Cocaine+Lsd i doubt would be very good AT ALL... ESPECIALLY NOT AS FIRST TIME ON LSD... I think doing lsd on friday would be better than saturday. And about setting, need a little more detail, it may be more complicated than you think. You WILL be dancing your fucking face off dude on just lsd just wait... Just dont take a low dose. MAn lsd is so great your just goinna like... win..man

Awesome.

Firstly, I won't mix cocaine with LSD (I just wanna make sure I'm energetic enough to still dance). I guess that won't be a problem.

As for the field rave Friday night: Obviously it's outdoors. It's supposedly out in the woods, in a secluded grass opening, wayyy away from civilization.

Just imagine a big opening in a forest with a DJ booth, subs, speakers, a decent light set up, and that's it. That's how it was last time. There's gonna be roughly 500-800 people there throughout the night.
 
Asuming your not a socially anxious person I think that sounds great.. For me that would be perfeeect!!! But for some it increased anxiety. For me it depleted all traces of anxiety and I could jump in the air and do heel clicks down the road.

Is there going to be like tents you can go to, to retreat to if you need a break or start to get overwhelmed? If not make sure you can atleast comfortably go walk off or something. and maybe beiing with somebody that is able to comfort you in a time of need is greeat. But man, you really should be fine. I've only done lsd twice and I havn't had difficult experiences, at first I was sittin there with 3 tabs of acid thinking "am i actually going to do this?! am i really ready for this?!" When really it was not what I expected, maybe even better in it's own way.

I'm not a socially anxious person at all... I love being around people, and I'm already pretty social/talkative even while not under the influence of drugs.

And yes, there will be tents (they will be other peoples' tents, but doubt they'll mind if I come chill with them), and I could even walk to my car and chill if it gets too hectic or out of control for me. Also, I'll have a few friends with me.

Right now, this sounds like an amazing idea to me. I love the scene, the music, the people, and I've always wanted to experiment with LSD. I just wanted to get some input from people who know their shit, and I wanted to make sure it'd be an okay thing for a first-timer to do.
 
I'm not sure if I really know my shit THAT well, but I have done it a couple times both in different situations, and I've read alot about it, so atleast theres some imput both from experience and book learning xD.

The weekend in question is two weeks away from Friday. Can't wait!
 
LSD questions...

So the first time I did LSD was a long time ago, one hit, I lived the best... and the worst... of LSD, but all in all it was an amazing experience. I was in a park with a friend, at night, amazing.

Last night, I took LSD for the 2nd time... but it was different, its obvious the setting has a lot to do with it, I was in my room, but this time it seemed a lot more like shrooms... well any way my questions are the following:

Does anyone have a problem listening to music while on Acid? I would be fine but then BOOM, id be soo uncomfortable

Has anyone ever closed their eyes... and still see the same setting you were in? like... im in my room right? I close my eyes, but I can still see the room, soo much that at one point I forget I have my eyes closed...sort of.. it was weird.. has anyone ever felt that?

This one, is the weirdest one of all... The first time I took acid I had loads of mocos (runny nose) and what not.. this time though.. again like shrooms.. my mouth was MAD dry, I would feel hot, and then cold, hot, cold... again is this normal?



thanks to anyone who can reply, but I do hope to avoid those "dude i took 4000 hits of acid" that many love to brag about. Im a simple person that ocasionally does drugs, LSD, MDMA, Meth, Special K, Coke, BUT im a normal person, I have a good job, my own house, and two cars.. Im not some one who wears tie die shirts with brades and goes on and on and on about how everythings just.. so.... fucked up... you know...,

No offense to anyone, its just that. I was wondering if anyone here who normallly doesnt do acid has ever felt what I just described..
 
The hot and then cold yeah. Still seein through your eyelids when shut.....no, pitch black room next time? Other than that, potency, purity, set, setting.
 
Mood swings aren't uncommon while dosed, I get em too. Be enjoying myself one second then out of the blue I won't be (same with music). Changing the song sometimes will help with that.
