Snoo! Part Two!!

well the pound is devalued as it is, if they gave everyone money.. One, what Squid said and Two it would devalue the pound even more...
 
Snoo-ish for today is that I've officially got the hours I wanted at work. But I dunno, I can't really feel too overjoyed about it atm. One of my mates is taking redundancy pay and I feel pretty bad for him tbh. Then again, it could be the best thing for him. He's gonna be forced to stop procrastinating and look for something else pronto. Probably what I needed as well. In fact, definitely. But baby steps, baby steps. I'll also be getting Monday's off so I'll be getting a three day weekend. WOOP WOOP!. :D

Anyhoo, I already had a feeling they were gonna give me the contract then expect me to work overtime on top of that without any benefits. So I made sure I snuck in a story about going back to college to better myself before they could even ask. They made it obvious when later in the day a few of the other managers started probing me with college questions. Fuck all y'all!.

Their new system/rota is fooked anyway. And their plans are gonna backfire big time, and I'm gonna be too busy, what with my college work and all. Fuck it. I might even go back to college for real. :)

Ooh, I also got an obscene caller at work today. Some guy wanted to know exactly who he was talking to before telling me he was tossing off. I was in hysterics. =D
 
I had a nice meal, in a good restaurant, for a great price in good company,made conversation, didn't drink or go spend tens of minutes in the bogs killing time:)

25hrs max for me....fuck doing anymore. :D

Work went so slow today, even though I was really busy all day the time went incredibly slow. I remember looking at the clock expecting it to be around lunch tume and it was only 10am. I'd been in less than an hour and it just dragged from there on in. :(
 
my snoo for this sunny friday is finally getting a letter from the social welfare office to say that my dole application thing had been approved and to go to the post office to collect it, i havent been working since january

went down anyway expecting 200 euro or something as the letter said that arrears would be paid shortly after initial payment and the girl behind the desk handed me 3250 euro in fresh crisp 50 euro notes!

she told me my next payment was next wednesday, so ill go down again on wednesday to collect my weekly 204 euro lol

happy days =D

I know how tough it is being unemployed. I was out of work for a whole year once and practically tore my hair out. But you always seem to land on your feet so I hope you sort yourself out soon mate. :)

ive been applying everywhere but havent even got one poxy interview, it does seem really bad

i think ill probably have to try and get some qualifications before i can expect to stroll into another decent job!

actually felt like a bit of a bum taking all that money today but i guess i have paid it in taxes over the years... hopefully i can get another job and off the dole asap, bored out my tits!

funny thing is, if i got a job that paid minimum wage id be less well off after taxes, transport, lunches etc than i would be sitting on my arse doing nothing for 204 euro a week cash probably!

I think that could be a wise idea. Been thinking the same myself tbh. Or even some charity/volunteer work could be beneficial in the long run. It'll boost your self esteem and would look great on your CV. After all, It's nice doing selfless things. :)

The boredom is the worst thing about it for sure. You basically waste all your time doing fuck all, and it seems like you'll never get out of it. But you have to keep telling yourself that things will pick up because they will. No use being negative, as that will just attract more negativity into your life. And you certainly don't want that.
 
she was stating the facts and not stating her motivation, from what i could gather.
