meph scared me slightly last night. id put a g into a load of gel caps. quite a low dose in each, split the g into 8. there was a crowd of us sitting in the pub before going to the arches & no1 really had any drugs apart from ching. they'd all been unsuccesful in getting decent pills or md & i was the only one with anything worth taking in a club. anyway, my mates wee brother (who hadn't taken meph before but does hammer the ching like a madman) was pestering me for some. i only gave him one of the gel caps & about an hour into the night in the arches dancing about like fannys he started to complain about his heart being sore (he knew nothing of the heart issue chat thats been going on here). i didn't realise how much ching he'd been tanning before i gave him the meph, him & another one of my mates had just been to the toilet & done a gram in two lines before i gave him the stuff. i was really freaking out about this boy having a heart attack or something trying to tell him to go outside to get some air or sit down but he was having none of it. turned out he was ok in the end but still frightened me enough that altho i had 3 of these gel caps left in my pocket that i wasn't gonna take i was telling my mates i had none left. i don't wanna be responsible for some cunt dying due to a drug they would never have taken or even heard of it wasn't for me.

A few people now that haven't heard anything about the heart issues or even know much about meph have said to me it gives them a funny heart beat! Also a few people who have had nosebleeds after snorting the stuff. Think theres something not quite right about the mephedrone to be honest, feels more toxic to me than most drugs do.

Personally, I can't imagine it's any worse than combining MDMA and SSRIs, but of course I have no evidence to back that up. I would assume that it releases serotonin the same way that MDMA does, and SSRIs would probably dull the effects, however they would still get the dopamine/speedy effects. I'd suggest your mate trying a low dose, and seeing how it affects them, and maybe trying a higher dose later.

Still, makes me feel 1000x better during and after than bzp or any of the other shit being sold as E these days

First line I snorted made my nose bleed too. I know I caned it when I had it but I felt at least as bad as I would after having too much pips etc the day after. And the heart beat thing was awful. Everyone different but I've swayed some friend towards methylone over meph because my reaction was so adverse.

I find I tend to get the dodgy heart stuff more if I sniff it. Taken orally it seems much more benign, less toxic and more gentle on the body for me. Nicer high too, in my opinion.
 
Totally agree shambles, only prob i find is that after say 2 x 250mg bombs then i have to snort it to get any effect! Also after finally finding some proper x pills for the first time since feb i have to say that meph has to be more toxic than mdma. Even after a g or more of md i always feel fine the next day and can sleep no prob. With meph i always resort to sniffing lines so i can get more high, cant sleep cause of the funny heart beat and generally feel weird the day after. Worth a try but illegal drugs are much better!
 
It's scary the amount of folk on here still caining the stuff despite everyone complaining of heart problems and it feeling so toxic.
 
It doesn't give me any heart issues atall, I sometimes, rarely, get slight muscular tension/twinges around the base/center of my rib cage, but I blame than on bad posture while being on it for hours infront of computer. I get tension every time in the upper left shoulder muscles aswell for exactly the same reason, I just don't realise I'm spending extended periods of time in postures which would otherwise be pretty uncomfortable.

I disagree about the toxicity comparison with MDMA, because other than the first few times I tried MDMA, it absolutely always made me a gibbering tearful wreck on the comedown and and a total emotional and physical mess in the days afterwards, so much so that I'm really not very interested in taking it again and probably never will. It always felt to me like it was just frying my brain and I only used it lightly, most I ever took in one night was 3, I mean it was fucking great at the time and the first few times especially changed my outlook on life forever, but it always felt like it was taking a huge expensive toll on my brain.

It's disingenous to compare 4-MMC to MDMA anyway, it's a unique substance and if you really have to compare it to something, surely it is better compared to amphetamine or methamphetamine?

Are people complaining of heart problems, or just that their hearts are beating a bit faster than normal?
 
I have not had any heart issues with mephedrone.
The same drugs seem to affect people differently for some reason.
With Meph only 2 doses are worth it for me, anymore and I just get wired but no nice effects.
I only take it orally, hate sniffing anything nowdays.

M1 felt much more toxic to me which is a shme becuase it made me feel so sexy :)

I have a question for anyone that might know.
If Meph releases seratonin like MDMA why doesn't it produce the same happy loved upness?

Taking 500mg in one hit was nearer to that than 250mg but still lacking that component.

Good point.

The first few times it made my heart race a bit and still was when i was lying in bed pretty wired and trying to sleep.

Tolerance builds very quickly though and lasts and I presume this includes the physiological response to it aswell as the psychological. I have chucked 2 grams up my nose in a 2 day session and had no extreme increase in heart rate atall, no feelings of my heart trying to jump out of my chest etc.
 
When I've had a decent go at a few g's of coke and am trying in vain to sleep, my heart is often trying to replicate a Rotterdam gabba beat! I just equate excessive beating of the heart as a product of taking stims! :)

Yeah absolutely, and given the quality of the pills and coke around here these days maybe someone taking mephedrone for the first time has just forgotten what a good dose of an extremely pure stimulant feels like.

TBH if I tried to sprint half a mile right now I'd be feeling more heart issues than anything I've felt from mephedrone. I've never taken it in a club and danced for hours on it though.

That indicates a good depletion of serotonin, not toxicity.

i don't think its fast heart beat that people are complaining about, i mean that is too be expected with stims. the boy i was talking about earlier specifically said "my heart is sore" he's used to taking tons of ching so used to a fast heart beat or heart pounding out your chest etc. i've not seen him since to ask him properly what it was like, i was too busy being mad with it & dancing about that i wasn't gonna question as to exactly what he was feeling. i told him to sit down, gave him some water, told him to go out for fresh air, he ignored all this advice apart from drinking my water so i got back to enjoying the tunes. i still kept an eye on him tho & kept checking he was ok but he seemed fine later.

For sure, but purely subjectively in a physical aswell as a mental sense it always felt like it was taking a huge toll on my body, I just ended up feeling the payoff wasn't worth it.

edit> the side effects/after effects of mephedrone are negligble for me in comparison but like I said I don't think it should be compared to MDMA.
