Search for a straight to base tek. This is the easiest and gets you very nice product especially if you freeze precipitate. There are many different teks. Read a few and decided what you want. You can do Noman's tek with a few variations.

Some intelligent people use this ratio:
1g lye : 1 gram of MHRB : 15ml water.

^ Good rule of thumb.

Couple questions:

1. When do you know that the sludge is depleted of DMT? Is that yellow goop just fats/tannins?

2. Putting jars of DMT-laden naphtha in the freezer to precipitate crystals -- Lid the jars or no?

3. Has anyone used the method of defatting MHRB powder with naphtha (no H2O) before adding filtered powder to the basified water (in Lazyman's Tek)? Results?

Defatting MHRB is kinda pointless. The fat content is so low anyway, you can get very clean crystals with STB with no defat. And you can always recrystallize if your spice isn't clean enough.

It's a good idea to lid the jars, because a lot of DMT will crystallize on the sides of the jar, and you'll need to shake the jars a bit to loosen the crystals right before pouring the mixture into the filter paper. Just make sure that the lids have a leak-proof seal...

if the dmt crystallises and exclusively sticks to the walls (like i've heard that it does from a good friend) then why not simply pour off the naphta and dry the crystals stuck to your container?

Well, because it's a bit more difficult to be scraping crystals off the inside of a jar than to just pour them off of a dry filter paper. I've done both. :)

I would say do that, redissolve in a smaller amount of solvent, dump it into a more scrapeable shallow pan and recrystallize, as it would be hard to scrape off of the sides of a jar. This makes more sense to me than catching it in filter paper.
 
wow...jungle spice huh....perfect name lol...the straight to base tek seems to good to be true. the last time i was cruising erowid it was quite a bit more complex extraction and i was going to use phalaris..when i was in peru i fucked with ayahuasca and it was cool i never could find a source here in the U.S... the notion that mhrb is clean of fats and resins is quite unique and helpful and the tek is perfectly suited. whats the deal with mhrb and naoh... i am curious how close these substances are watched. i mean naoh they say is watched but?? its used in everything and what about mhrb *snip* ... there is a kilo flying around on a jet right now i suppose but i was reading about a court case where they were trying to make it illegal... either way quite stoked for next week i hope the results work well i am trying to take in lots of info the past day or so.. and always open to any suggestions

Hmmm... never had that problem. I think if you have a clean enough precip., they'll all just slide right off of the paper when you pour them off. At least that's my experience.

i'm curious. suppose a half gram or so of DMT (synthesized 6 months prior) is wrapped up in plastic, put in a rubber tub, and put in a vehicle that sits in the sun. would it still be psychoactive?

um, synthetic um what, cough? toilet-test that digital k-rap not worthy of the holy name in the name of decent acacialoids everywhere, tisk tisk, kids these daze...
 
^Yar, he's disputing the "goodness" of synthetic DMT....Some would say its of a lesser quality then, say, acacia-extracted DMT. I wouldn't know....Are you sure its synthetic even?

it's irrelevant... frankly, i really just want my prior question answered.
 
then the answer is obviously negatory - synthetic DMT, some would proclaim, is not psychoactive in the first place being thoroughly devoid of any save Chinese lab morphogenics. plus, by this time the notoriously hungry alkaloid has probably eaten through the non-HDPE plastic and mixed nicely with yo rubber. i still suggest testing whether it reverses coriolis direction when flushed.
