Going to see Catfish Haven and Murder By Death tonight. =D

What a great show. Catfish Haven was pretty cool...local Chicago band that I had been meaning to check out for a while. They delivered.

Murder By Death...wow. They performed Red of Tooth and Claw (their latest) and Who Will Survive and What Will Be Left of Them in their entirety plus a few rarities to cap off the night. I've had Who Will Survive for a couple years now, but had never really bothered to check out any of their other stuff. I did not expect them to be such a solid live band either. Great execution, vocals were top notch, the drummer was nasty as hell, cute cellist is cute. All around fantastic show. I'd recommend catching them on this tour if you can.

22 days until Phish at Hampton :D

3 weeks! i still don't have any place to stay though...ughhh....i sure hope its not to frickin cold up there in VA that weekend......

dont happen to have hotel floor space for 2 kids by any chance do ya huntmich? happy to pitch in on costs just need a corner under a table or something to sleep.....were not annoying or obnoxious or......well if you know anyone whos got space were in need!

Dude I'm staying with my lady at a B+B like 40 minutes away. I don't think you're gonna wanna be in that room that night; I don't think there'll be much sleeping actually going on :)

I am going to see their show (murder by death) on the 24th. So stoked! Their music is so incredibly emotional. Tickets were only like 12 bucks too.

Disco Biscuits at the Tabernacle in Atlanta!!! Suuuuch a sick show and is wasnt so hot and crowded as usual. The top floor wasn't a smoke clound and was like 77 degrees instead of like 85+. It was the Biscuits first time playin there and i think they heard about its rep as being an incredible venue but ungodly hot. I think they lowered the ticket limit and made them up the AC. CLUTCH!!

upcoming...

Two nights of Umphrey's this coming Thurs and Fri in Atlanta, then Lotus on Sat in Atlanta

The Dead in Greensboro

Gonna hang out in the lot at Phish's Hampton shows,
then hit up STS9 in Madison, Chicago, and St. Louis 3 nights in a row!

wooo im so excited!

Honestly the bisco scene kinda made me want to vomit last friday, me and my buddy decided to split. Those kids aren't very friendly and their doses are shit. :\

Made ya wanna vomit, haha, i can see that. Was it all the rich kids with flat bill caps?

Ive never had a problem with bisco kids - howver, acid is NOT the bisco scene. So the doses probably sucked because theyre hard to find on bisco tour. Bring your own L to bisco tour. Bisco kids have candy and the like...tons of molly, sass, k...

Damnit, you're so lucky. Tickets were sold out to the show I wanted to go to in Philly. It seems like it was the same set too, both albums. This is now the second time I've missed MBD in the last few years and it seems like their shows are just getting better. I'm really upset I missed them. I tried everything I could to get tickets up to the very last few hours before the show started :(

I have a few shows coming up that I'm excited about.
Mother Mother
Efterklang
Akron/Family
of Montreal
Animal Collective

I may go see the B-52s since they're playing locally, still undecided.

I'll probably end up being forced to a Dead show by my friends.

And the other maybe is Modest Mouse.

Was supposed to be going to see Gang Gang Dance, but all their equipment burned in a fire so their tour is canceled now.

The Akron show is at a very small place in Brooklyn that many people complain about. I've been there once before to see Grails, and it was packed. If I hadn't gotten to the front I would have been mad. I plan to do the same for Akron so hopefully atleast I'll have a good time :)

The next two months are going to kick ass.

March 5th in San Antonio, Texas - Infected Mushroom. I'll probably pop a couple of tabs before the show. Need I say more?

And in the span of one week in April, I'll go see Acid Mothers Temple and The Brian Jonestown Massacre in Austin. I want to get a hold of some blotter or mushies before the shows, but they'll be awesome sober!

took my kid to her first concert saturday, Ani Difranco at the 9:30 club in DC. Excellent show.
