although i no longer score drugs i would like to say that i do actually find myself missing going to score. of course when you are sick and waiting for your dealer it sucks - but for months and maybe years after i actually missed going to score and all the excitement that went along with it. i think it is just that i was used to scoring and the people and events that went along with scoring and that it took me a while to fill up the time i spent waiting for drugs, talking to dealers, etc.

Have been scoring daily for almost 13 years. A variety of dealers, usually a different one per substance. Some are easier than others . I could be waiting 1 hr for a E dealer to drop of 2 or 3 pills . While my Heroin dealer is never more than 5 mins late. And does credit if things are tight.
After so many years of using I have no time for paranoia about cops etc. Be a realist I they see you they'll pulll you over , most times you'll have no problems.
 
Who really likes going into the real ghetto/projects to score? There's always the rush and the possibility of getting robbed/beat/arrested, but check it: if you are a real junkie and there is an open air drug market you know about, you will go cop when you have to. Desperate times call for desperate measures. A junkie will do anything for a fix. Going into the ghetto/projects should not be a big deal. There are people in this world who suck dick, have sex, do way worse for drugs or drug money.
 
When I was addicted it was very exciting getting more so I can feed my addiction. So I was very happy do drive and get drugs. Never thought much of getting pulled over. I look very innocent. Never got harassed for anything drug related in my life when I got pulled over by cops so had no reason to be worried about anything. Just happy to get my next fix.

Just to add, I never had to go into the ghetto or anything. Always had phone connects. I would be too scared to go into the projects/ghetto. Would rather probably go through w/d than to put myself in such a risky situation. But never say never. Never had to at least. As the poster above said desperate times call for disparate actions. So true true.

But once I was getting low on money and realized I probably will have to sell my body for dope I got on Sub maintenance. So there are limits for some people.

I always went to my guys house and he would call the real guy with the drugs.. ( he never would give me their numbers.. bastard )

Anyway, I hated having to go there and wait for over an hour sometimes when they said they'd be there in 10 mins kinda thing.

I loved the feeling I had after I'd get the shit and was leaving tho.
 
Over the years scoring has changed dramatically. Heading to downtown L.A. in the middle of a sunny afternoon was exciting. Carrying nothing on me but money and an ID helped me feel safe. Not until I made a buy did I have to look over my shoulder. And even then the drive home (an hour) was such a rush in itself, knowing what I was looking forward to.
Late 90's California was the best.

Now I have trouble finding a reliable source. Age, death, availability, location...not much fun anymore. I'm glad some of you folks still get a kick from the deal. You deserve some enjoyment for all the crap you might get from friends, family and society. These sometime drunks who drink a twelve-pack and decide to go for a drive.
 
i dont understand wat the big deal is about goin to the hood to cop and why everyone is so scared of that shit. the boys (cops) is the only shit you got to worry about come on. Maybe I am biased becz I spend so much time out there when I aint copping that it is just another thing to do in a area that i already be at for shopping, errands, visit family/friends, etc. But seriously peeps. I dont kno why people act like its some kind of bad thing. " I went to the PROJECTS!" OMG like its some kind of crazy shit and not just a regular thing.

You hit the nail on the head, but a lot of people don't live near big cities or cities with "proper ghettos". I ain't glorifying NJ, but we got some of the grimiest ghettos and worst projects in the country. I am a skinny small ass white boy. When I first started copping by myself, I was always a little nervous. There is always the possibilities of getting robbed or beat up. I've had friends robbed, get their asses kicked, stuck up at gun point. I got robbed once but I fought the dude and kicked his ass 1 v 1. I think it was another junkie, but my dealer came and beat the shit out of him after I did and got my money. Now my main priority is always ALWAYS the boys (cops). Especially after getting arressted. I ain't scared of dealing with guys or violence in the hood. It has become so routine to deal with it now and I've seen and experienced a whole lot more than I should have in my life. Cops sometimes camp out narcotic areas/projects and wait to pull over the white folks. That's the only thing I am scared of. But ya know, there are a lot of violent areas. I've witnessed shootings and shit like that. At night especially it's not safe in an area they selling narcotics, especially the projects. That's a breeding ground for shit. A lot of ghettos around the USA are different than up here in the Northeast / NYC/NJ/Philly/Baltimore area. Ya dig.

i personally LIKE going down to the hood to cop
have a few friends down there who know a lot of people so im not disrespected, BUT i just dont like copping period.

too paranoid for it haha
 
I love the hour ride down town, i love going up in PJs and dealing with the boys to get to my man lol dont you just love the hussle? nah but for real its always a rush goin up in someplace and knowing with your head held high you get respect esp if you got a wad in your pocket and are picking up a pack or more lol... then you know its just around the corner for a bottle of h20 and you are high!
 
I don't like copping but if I'm going to get good through a friend I do enjoy seeing them. I don't mind going to the hood(used to be based out) but rarely do now as I don't like dirt weed and rock.

i wish there was an option for sometimes, because i hate when im waiting for that 5 hour 15 minute phone call. and im blowing there phone up every 20 minutes! but i voted yes because there is no better feeling when i get my d.o.c in my hands. or when im walking home just holding them in my pocket lol
