Certainly. ;)

As belarki pointed out, they are not CYP2D6 inducers. Promethazine is in fact a CYP2D6 inhibitor, doxylamine has no effects as far as I can tell and diphenhydramine also inhibits CYP2D6.

However, as far as I can tell with promethazine it's effects on CYP2D6 aren't really noticeable and it goes great with codeine. Diphenhydramine I didn't really enjoy with codeine, just made me drowsier but not in a good way, and doxylamine is OK (just been using around 50mg with codeine recently) but not as good as promethazine, which I find gives a really nice sedation.

The best way I found to dose was to take the promethazine around ten-15 minutes before taking the codeine so that they were coming on at similar times (codeine comes on very quick for me). This way as well, CYP2D6 interaction should be minimal.

I have taken promethazine after I've already taken the codeine, and found there was not much difference aside from the effect that there wasn't really the feeling you get as it comes on with the codeine at the same time. You may want to experiment a little to find your sweet dosing spot though, as I generally tend to feel drugs quicker then other people.

However, as long as you are feeling the sedative, anti-histamine and anti-emetic effects of the anti-histamine at the same time as the codeine, you are set. :D
 
If people are trying promethazine for the first time I'd recommend small doses around 12.5mg as it is really quite potent, don't want to be feeling groggy and sleepy for 12 hours for no good reason.
 
^ What do you mean go hard on a full stomach? Did you have food in your stomach last time you tried it?

I've never had cramps from drinking a CWE, though going down it can be quite nasty and make me gag a lot and feel like throwing up. Codeine also causes nausea as you know.

Maybe try ginger or some kind of anti-emetic to ease your stomach?
 
Your pills are they ibprofen or para? Ibpfrofen is known to cause stomach upset.

I always use ibprofen/codeine pills because i think it taste better. My mate cant stomach it though
 
I usually go Ibuprofen, but tonight I'm trying panadeine.

Done one, doing another... should go well with my temazepam and vodka.

Fuck.. is that the time?
 
lol yeh codeine tastes like dog balls. ive been trying out a number of methods but in the end the best way i think it to simply throw it down as soon as u can followed by fanta asap.

in terms of potentiaters and what not ive only tried grape fruit juice which i think made the buzz slightly better but could be put down to placebo. valium and xanax go along nicely with it. always been carefull not to drink tho as i worry bout the alcohol and paracetamol hitting my liver.

when and where u guys take codeine? i find the high subtle so when ive done it at work i dont get to enjoy the buzz cause im busy so best is just chilling out watching a movie or on a scat day. havent mixed while high on mdma tho is it good?
 
^ Regarding GFJ: It would more lengthen the effects then potentiate them as it prevents metabolization of morphine, which leads to slightly higher serum levels but like I've said previously I've never noticed any real potentiation. Also, keep in mind GFJ inhibits CYP2D6.

Regarding dosing codeine: usually at home before playing music with my friends, or before watching some TV and getting on here. :D
 
Whenever I use panafen plus the taste is not nearly as bad as most the other brands, yet it still has the exact same effects. Anyone else noticed this?

I love the combo. Obviously it's not the best if you're out and about but at home with friends on a couch or bed listening to music it's excellent. It seems to make the mdma last much much longer.

This could be the reason the mdma lasts longer, your body has trouble getting rid of it. This might be unsafe with high doses, or even regular doses for some people - be careful start low, go slow.

I usually use Nurofen Plus.

Last night I went with brand name Panadeine and I got the same seriously painful gut issues as usual, so obviously my stomach can't handle codeine really well - so at last, I've found something my stomach can't take.

I did, however, enjoy some depressed breathing, presumably from mixing opiates, benzos and alcohol. Won't be doing that again.

For the nausea, have you tried an anti-emetic such an anti-histamine? Or even ginger or something?

Ouch take care there buddy! Are you doing a CWE? Have you tried either eating some carbs like rice/bread/pasta before taking the codeine to slow absorption or as Mr Blonde suggested something to calm your stomach? Ginger, apple, peppermint tea?
 
the other night my girlfriend after doing a dose of about 300mg (which we do together once a week) got swollen puffy lips. its never happened to her before and her lips are fine now. was it out of the blue or has she developed like a reaction to the codeine or something?

I've had intestinal spasms from 60mg codeine before, worst pain in my life, felt like I'd taken a shotgun to the stomach. If this stuff doesn't work for you, don't keep persisting.

Probably a histamine reaction, try using an anti histamine next time.
 
she didnt get swollen lips tonight so i dno mustve been a one off.

has anyone tried having sex on codeine? i find it kills the sensitivity down there
