I have been a tar user for a little while and have been an OC user even longer and just an opiate user even longer than that--Bout 12 years now.
Found a great hook up for the blacky tar and they are extremly consistent.Never been out....daily
However I just got a small bloon about 5 this evening and did it all in one shot (like usual) and I just cannot sleep for the life of me.!! This is a 1st for me my fellow bluelighters

Have you guys ever had any experiences like this?
I never have on tar, could always pass out when need be

Not on tar but sometimes on other opiates .. powdered stamps i can't sleep at all. I'm more just nodding in and out but still awake somewhat... other times i just can't sleep or nod don't think what you're experiencing is to unncommon.

sometimes i would have trouble sleeping on tar heroin too, i usually was just nodding in and out during sleep but never actually went to sleep. i always woke up refreshed tho. its normal to have trouble sleeping on heroin and other opiates sometimes.

Ok, it may not be impossible, but it is unlikely. Most users who go the rectal route are not going to be working with the ideal conditions required for such a fast onset, so if you plug something and it doesn't kick in in 30 seconds, don't give up hope.

Around where I live Heroin is usually sold in caps (gel-capsules) or foils (heroin wrapped in aluminum foil). Both contain around .2 grams

After thinking about it, I looked back over this discussion, and ayjay, I retract my statement that rectal heroin can be felt in 30 seconds. Here is why...

There is no way it can kick in in 30 seconds. That's completely impossible. It's probably more like 3 - 10 minutes.

30 seconds is eminently possible - if you do it right. Here's the text from a UK harm reduction pamphlet on the topic (look for the line "the liquid and the drugs will be absorbed in under 30 seconds"):

There is a difference between "absorbed" and "active." The above statement is only put in the guide to assure rectal users that they won't have to fight to keep the liquid in their ass very long before it is absorbed. This does not mean it will be active in 30 seconds.

I have a question...

I had a friend shoot me up for the first time yesterday.

It definitely worked, but she didn't use any cotton or filter. She basically had a this little metal tin, dumped the powder and water, stirred and then sucked it back up and shot.

From reading the OP, the danger in this would just be injecting the cuts? How dangerous is that in actuality?

well i can sort of wish that i heard about 'plugging' when i was a daily IV H user. BUT i can say that i may have tried it only AFTER my veins got too hard to hit and i was left with only being able to 'muscle' the H.

before that i was way too addicted to seeing the blood orchid in the syringe to even care to try the plugging method. but it could have saved me many abcesses during my muscle injecting career - maybe....

oh and all we get where i live is mexican black tar H. even if it appears in a powdered form you can be sure that what was done is that some lactose (or whatever?) was mixed with tar in a coffee grinder to get powder form H.
some people to this day (here - OLD SCHOOL addicts) still believe that the ONLY way you can get tar H to work is to mix it with lactose.
of course this is wrong; but whatever...
i shot mexican tar H for over 7 years and it did ruin my veins. but they have started to come back after 7 years of not shooting up - and now if i have to have a blood test i have a few veins that actually work now.
btw - the tar we get here seems pretty pure i.e., shiny dark and clear. but i'm pretty sure that there are plant materials and/or other things in it.

IF white powder is found here it is most always fentanol (sp?) and very dangerous - the only people i know who OD'd did it on the white powder. there is also something called 'instant parkinson's disease' that you can supposedly get from shooting the fake 'china white'.
they show a movie called The Frozen Junkie in methadone clinics here about this powder.

does anyone know about this?
