I got a pay cut of £1500 at work the other day. While this might not seem like snoo, I was dead in line for being made redundant. Getting the pay cut still means I would properly earn more then any job I can get in the current job market.

Interestingly, a compound of silver, silver iodide, is used to encourage rain in one method of cloud seeding, so every now and again there may actually be a cloud with a silver lining.
