Fine foods -- what are you a sucker for?

*sigh* fairnymph* Didn't realise you were posting again. You make my heart flutter :D

Oh..back on topic - lobster rules the roost here. Oyster naturale also tickles my tastebud - I once ate 20 in one sitting. Dunno about it be an aphrodisiac - I fell asleep straight away.

Top notch sushi gets me going and some nice marbled beef cooked shabu shabu style is something I lust for often.

I've never tried foie gras or black truffles but I hope to remedy that soon.

Fried zucchini. I mean, *real* fried zucchini, not this inch-thick breaded shit they sell in the frozen foods section. Unfortunately, I haven't had any of this since I lived in Greece, many years ago. :(

^^ being greek myself, that was one of my staple diets at home - I miss mum's cooking *sighs*

oh jesus
some mentioned crab cakes
sweet lord...if any of you ever have the chance to go to key west, go to Turtle Krawls (I think thats where it was) and get their crab cakes...TO DIE FOR!! They serve them with warm grilled mango in some sort of creamy sweet sauce....*drool*

haste: I love Greeks! Actually I adore Mediterranean food/people/climate in general ... :D

Some of my finest memories of the past are three months travelling around the greek islands - like you said, the food, the people, the climate and the culture. Although I must admit I didn't like the mainland - but I don't have any relatives there so it wasn't a problem :)

^^ I wish I could eat steak, but my body has always been aversive to many different kinds of beef that I've had though, not sure why.

Yesterday: what is conch?

i think ur aversion to red meat could be due to ur blood type. i was talking with a friend about food and he said that hes A- which means red meat doesnt do him much good.

interesting

i LOVE meat. i could never be a vegetarian. dont get me wrong, vegies are great. i love dill cucumbers. mmmm....

Lobster, Filet Mingon (sp?) steaks, Breaded Razorclams, Strawberries dipped in sour cream and then brown sugar <yummmmmm>, Fresh fruits of all kinds but especially guavas and mangos, Fruit smoothies with lots of ice and a dash of orange juice, HOT thai food with lots of extra spicey green currey, German gummi products ~ for some reason they are so much better then their american counterparts! They are less sweet and have a more firm texture.

Ok Ok Ok, i'm starting to drool all over my keyboard now. It's late, i'm stoned and oh so hungry ~ time to raid the fridge.

I prefer to eat mine with cucumber salad at a place called Provision's on the Dock in North Carolina with seagulls flying by, a seabreeze in my hair and washed down with a nice corona.

There is an Asian resturant in Valleyfield, Quebec that serves the best wonton soup in the world (as far as I know). So delicate... It's all I eat when I go there. <3
