I thought this was a pretty interesting analysis of Brand and his apparent narcissism, and why he probably simply won't be able to accept fault. It seems to me that he genuinely never believed that he ever did anything wrong. Leaving his phone number etc, with someone he'd just raped! "Call me, Hun!" ?
He'll probably be exactly like Donald Trump, the primest Narcissist in the world surely, certainly the most high profile; blaming the judge, the jury, the media; essentially everyone except himself, whenever anything legal does not go his way.
The creator of the video is not a psychiatrist, but a Narcissist himself, and one who clearly understand the subject in depth, and has written books etc on the subject. He's no 2 bit know nothing grifter, imho.
Some people with conditions get fascinated by them, and want to learn everything, I was the same with Autism, leading up to my diagnosis, and in my first few years post very-late-in-life diagnosis, although that is cooling off a little now, as I feel that I'm up to speed on everything I need to know, for my own purposes, for the time being. Some people have abilities to take that interest, and the self-awareness and self analysis that can go with it, and in many ways understand their subject from the inside out, in comparison to "authorities" from academia, (imo.) Couple that with an ability to write and present valuable material, in general, I'd rather hear from this sort of person, than an academic "authority."
I guess this is a sweeping generalisation, and I mean no disrespect or offense to someone like @MsDiz , who may not have ASPD herself, but has still earned her stripes, I'm very sure. It's just in general, I feel that people with the conditions they talk or write about, understand them in a unique way, that personally appeals to me a lot more. (I realise this position is likely to cause offense, so I think the key point to stress again, is that it is just something personal to me, that I connect more with people with the condition.) I've listened to leading academic authorities on Autism like Tony Attwood, and felt that while he deserves his reputation, there's still been certain instances, where he's missed the point, or got things wrong.
Academic authorities, with the condition they are specialising in, are the ultimate source, imo. They understand from the inside out, as well as totally objectively.
