FFS I've certainly messed up my youtube algorithm regarding their AI content over these last few weeks.
For a while I was getting nothing but AI slop of the very worst kind, the kind that has not even been proof-read / listened to by the creator for errors, not just small errors but huge errors where whole passages make no sense what so ever.
The thing is, I found one or 2 AI channels that had some OK content, but liking such content or even having it in your history turned out to be incredibly bad news, as from then on, youtube takes it as a green light to swamp you with AI, good, bad, and terrible.
Many probably know that the only remedy is to remove all traces from history, and never watch this stuff again. And also keep selecting 'do not recommend channel', whenever you see this crap pop up as suggestions.
I'm glad to say that this is working, and my feed has now been restored to containing content created by the humans that I have subscribed to, as they put work and effort in to their content, and I'd much rather support this type of creator.
The proliferation of AI is terrifying, with some channels putting out dozens of videos every day, and really swamping the platform if you're not careful.
Fortunately a huge proportion is easily and instantly recognisable by the thumbnail alone, due to the mass use of crappy animation in this type of content.
