Everything is so fake. The world seems a ruse pulled over my consciousness like a fire blanket protecting the indelible scars of the tangible.

It seems like everything and nothing are sewn into the simultaneous. The precious now.

Something is off. Red warning lights glitter my horizon.

Give it a name. The nameless is reserved for God. Name it. Verbalize it. Touch it. Drink it. Drink it all in and give me a name before you regurgitate.

The world seems different every day as my perspective shifts and I see from different angles.
What about red shift. Retrograde?

Technology has created a tumor. By the time we figure it out its already too late.

How certain are you that you are even speaking to a human right now?

This isn't real. It's a photograph.

Drugs seem to be falling out of style.

If I could snort my cell phone I would. Would you?

Would you inject your phone if it were nanobots?

"In the slums of Johannesburg in South Africa, a dangerous new method of drug-taking is catching on.

Sky's Africa correspondent John Sparks has witnessed the practice of "bluetoothing" - withdrawing blood after a hit and injecting it into a second person.

Addicts are taking nyaope (pronounced un-yop-pay), a cocktail of heroin, antiretroviral drugs and even crushed glass and rat poison, by injecting it, pulling blood back out, and taking it themselves.

They head to the dump when the sun comes up and talk about their aching joints, the vomiting and the way their stomachs buckle and cramp.

If they have the money for a fix, they will buy a wax paper packet from one of the dealers and sprinkle its contents into a marijuana cigarette - or simply find a place else to inject it.

"This is how much I need a fix in the morning, every day, every day, it's trouble," says a battered-looking man called Jesus.

Relief comes quickly in a slum called Diepsloot, as the drug they call nyaope starts to enter the blood stream.

It is a cocktail of heroin and other ingredients such as antiretroviral drugs, cleaning detergents and crushed glass and it has a near-instantaneous effect.

I think there is too much partisanship, people on both sides would rather consolidate their power in order to attack the other side. Everybody's lying and people in the middle who just want something reasonable and affordable are getting hurt. I'd much rather vote in everyone's best interest but I'm not being given that choice right now. I know a lot of people in the middle who have changed their voter registrations lately, people who lean liberal have gone further left and people who lean conservative have gone to the right. And certain ballot initiatives are really about dog whistle issues not something anybody wants or needs.

I turned 16 as Covid started and the contrast is absolutely striking and extremely disheartening, I’m called an addict and judged relentlessly by people who spend hours every day staring at a rectangle in their hand. Coming into adulthood at this time in history has been so difficult and I just wonder how much my life would have been if instead of 03 I was born in 93
