Benzos lorazepam (Ativan) seems much 'harder to handle' than other benzos

how do i tell my dr that #60 10 mg diazepam is equivalent to about #30 1mg klonopin

how busy is BL these days where is the real oldschool crew

I don't know where you are based but there are now some on-line convertors based on the Ashton Manual but which also allow for the fact that chronic use changes that conversion factor.

While diazepam has three major active metabolites (nordiazepam, temazepam and oxazepam), clonazepam has only one minor active metabolite (3-hydroxy clonazepam).

I mean, if you know from direct experience, I would tend to have a third party involved. A family member who only provides medication to an agreed schedule is often considered a reasonable option by some UK based clinicians. It certainly has to be better than individuals who end up having to pick up a few tablets every day because the clinician is concerned that the medication might be 'abused'.

I can only note that the shorter duration of clonazapam added to it's toxicity and selectivity make it a lot more hazardous than diazepam so I would think any rational clinician would consider swapping to diazepam to be a sensible thing to do.

That said, it's been decades since I took clonazepam and even 0.5mg [TID] produced so many nasty side-effects that I went back and asked if I could be trialled on clobazam. I got a few odd looks but it works and I can't say it has any notable side-effects. Forget a pill, eventually maybe increased anxiety will remind you but it doesn't mess with my mood or memory. In short, it has next to no abuse potential.

Lorazepam (Ativan) is “harder to handle” because it’s freaking ROCKS…..and is Power as fck

I’m no stranger to benzodiazepine compounds and had em all……2 weeks Benzo free, fasted state and took 2mg of Lorazepam and it hit me Niiiicely. I was impressed. This is from me taking Valium 50mg …..and that Ativan 2mg was VERY impressive. Probably one of the best benzodiazepines I’ve ever taken

There’s a real reason why in hospital setting for emergency sedation…..Lorazepam & Diazepam are absolutely invaluable. The Gold Standard Valium & Ativan

Lorazepam (Ativan) 2mg freaking Rocked me but in a good way…..it’s a pleasure benzodiazepines and has very robust anxiolytic, sedative, muscle relaxant, anticonvulsant properties.

I’ve always LOVED Valium (Diazepam) ….and now I have the same love for Lorazepam (Ativan)

I was actually high off 2mg of Lorazepam…..no other drug was in my system for 10h and was Benzo free for several weeks…….that pleasurable Ativan 2mg dose shocked me how potent its effects were, for a tolerant 240 pound 6’ tall man I was extremely impressed by Ativan 2mg

No wonder why in the emergency centre when a patient is freaking out, they’ll inject IV Lorazepam 2-4mg and after that, that individual is no longer an issue or disturbance lol

Id compound my own special formula to load in an auto-injector pen for SC injection

Lorazepam 2mg
Diazepam 10mg
Ketamine 150mg
Morphine 10mg

Like an epi pen ……pressing the safety at tip on someone’s thigh and push in the trigger at end by your thumb, Click!!!! Ouch, what was that? …nothing lol……10min later they’re all relaxed with a grin of content intoxication 30-40min later they’re fully tranquilized …safely under direct observation

Ketamine plus morphine (or any other opioid) will result in nausea that will be very dangerous in a K Hole.

Id formulate the Ketamine just slightly above a “breakthrough dose” …near the bottom range of a low therapeutic dose.

Each substance……but when all combined together they’re synergistic effects make it an effective cocktail SC administration, absorbing within 5min

I’ve used every drug on earth nearly and lots of experience with Ketamine, Opioids, benzodiazepines, dopaminergic stimulants, Gabapentinoids, Cannabinoids, disassociates, psychedelics, etc, etc

S-Ketamine IV administration was my main ROA back in the day….but for use in a Brompton Cocktail 🍸 it’s dosing is extremely important not to be too high…..just lurking in the background effectively. You can detect its presence, but very subtle and non intrusive

Severe chronic pain and/or neurological pain, Ketamine is an absolute staple in therapeutic medicine

Opioids (Methadone), Pregabalin (Lyrica), Ketamine, Diazepam (Valium) and perhaps cannabis Indica with high CBD content. All in very low therapeutic doses per tolerance

this is great PR for ativan.

I wish I still had some I feel like its trade value has increased. Again always at --- well near (Some misses in the RC world) the bottom of the benzo pile.

Shows how subjective things can be cuz they are just kinda laughed at around here. not laughed at but itd be a "Damn ativan, ill give you half" tye situation

yup my grandma was on ativan and morphine when she passed as well.

My great grandmother was on liquid morphine and valium and I remember her not touching it than one day she did --- we were all too scared to ask why. Later in the night she announces "This morphine stuff really works for cankersores" LMAO --- all the extreme pain that was what got her to try it

I've never tried morphine but my grandfather once had a bad fall and I went in the ambulance with him ,they gave him a shot of morphine for the pain and 5 minutes later he was begging for more ,this was someone completely anti drugs
It must be mighty powerfull stuff

it is mighty good stuff alright and I did not have a pain problem! The moniker "Gods Own Medicine" is well deserved.

Codeine metabolizes into morphine and is pretty safe and available if you wanna give it a dance with minimal risk. If you got an addictive personality idk lol

Oh I've tried codine often enough and was aware of that but a shot of morphine must hit hard
