What is the best way to recover from 7oh addiction -- self-monitored taper (I currently use 100 mg/day), taper with other meds/substances, or a program -- and if so, which? i have looked at quick md, brightside, acceptance treatment. thanks

7-OH is a psychoactive substance with opioid-like effects and similar risks. In its botanical form, 7-OH is found in trace amounts in the Mitragyna speciosa plant, a tropical evergreen tree indigenous to Southeast Asia that is commonly used in religious or communal ceremonies.

Kind greetings. I was on about the same dose and got off by taking a gram of K over 2.5 days and doing nothing and but listening to music and sleeping. 7-OH was quick for me, idk why. I was back upright in about 4 days, but then I ended up switching back to MIT extracts. I made a thread, it might be helpful to you. Currently, I am 3.5 weeks free of alcohol and kratom in any capacity, but what really carried it was being prescribed a low and then high dose of klonopin. Here is the thread I made about my progress so far Idk what your experience is with benzos, but klonopin and gabapentin, along with clonidine and naproxen (this also potentiates gabapention) really got me through the worst of it. It was an on and off 4 year habit and even though I had a few breaks in the past year I don't think I ever fully got it out of my system until now. The worst part was the anxiety and the outpouring of sadness.

Thank you for your answer and I did read your thread but found it confusing. You got detoxed from 7oh in 2.5 days? Sorry I just couldn't make sense of what you described.

Hi. I reread your message and understood better. How much clonidine did you use? I found last night that I do have both Klonopin and clonidine at hand, and I already take gabapentin. My problem with 3 attempts to cold turkey stop 7 has been the body pain. Did you have that? I have to work at home on computer but it's not very demanding. I can't lie around and sleep but I think I'd like to try your method before going the route of MAT. thanks Julie

Did anybody go to their shop or online and by a bunch before the ban? I bought 2 6 packs but that's it cuz I've been weinering myself down.

Some of the bigger local smokeshops here just heavily discounted their entire stock. But I will never use 7 ever again. I have no desire to buy more ever again. I absolutely hate that crap now. But I was on it for a long time

Switch to a combination of suboxone and adderall for 3 days, then taper the suboxone over a week and stop the adderall. Boom... virtually completely pain free withdrawals. MIRACLE CURE. You're welcome.

i would imagine -if it hasnt been suggested - a taper to begin with. maybe its not as a terrible idea, idk. helps with a lot of other "hard" drugs.
seems a reasonable starting point to me.
have you tried tapering or just want to jump on another substance? i mean; just try the taper itself if the 7-oh was just a research experiment and not used for oain management or what have you, ya know?
think about the other ingredients as needed. just my approach. idk.
best wishes

Cool, I'm actually in a way glad it's going illegal based on people's experience with how addictive it is I've been reading I can get off before I got really hooked.

I am so confused. I have a really bad 7oh habit that I obviously need to stop. I have a lot of Suboxone. Does Suboxone not help with physical withdrawals? I have a 2,000 to 3,000 a day habit. I have tried tapering but I keep messing up. Will Suboxone really not help with physical withdrawals????? I'm not worried with mental at the moment, just physical. Thank you!!!!

Yes, it will help. A LOT.

However, it will not make the experience painless... but you are already in a position where you are inevitably going to experience some pain getting back to normal.

Personally I never went above the 1000mg per day, because my liver, gallbladder and spleen started failing. Frankly I have a hard time believing any human body could reliably handle 2-3g of 7oh of any kratom alkaloid for long periods.

The products you take are likely less pure than you think.

Becoming addicted to a pain killer will invariably cause pain when you stop. So the universe works.

I am under no illusions as to their purity, I'm taking the brands you find in smoke shops, though I am ordering them online. I ordered powder once but I couldn't figure out the right dosage and didn't want to accidentally OD. What I did take of the powder made me feel weird, no euphoria or anything. I take tabs, going by the amounts it says on the packages, I am taking between 2k and 3k in a 24 hour period. What amount is really 7oh, I don't know. Regardless I have a really bad habit. I have already been to detox twice this year for 7oh. Both times I was back on 7oh very quickly after. The fact that I wasn't properly medicated either time, did not help. I know I will feel terrible but I need to be able to do stuff like drive, while going through withdrawals. I have ordered a bunch of SR-17. Does anyone know how that interacts with Suboxone? I definitely don't want to go into precipitated withdrawals while trying to withdrawal. What would help more with physical withdrawals? Subs or SR-17. I have been reading conflicting info about both and I am so confused and scared.

Those are chronically underdosed and the LAST brands you should trust as to their potency.

Why? Is this your first round of addiction?

I don't mean to be harsh but there is no sugar coating things in endgame addiction.

I'm not sure what you're expecting from SR-17018. Its not like some miracle cure compared to suboxone.

Personally a combo of suboxone and adderall gets me off 7oh the easiest. SR-17018 didn't help much at higher doses.

In terms of how buprenorphine will interact with SR-17018... it will probably render it useless as it has a higher affinity at MOR

So the half life of 7-0H is reportedly really short like 5 hours. How physical withdrawal from traditional opiate agonists work is 5 x the half life plus around three days for our systems reset and we start to feel better and we see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is not the magic number where we feel great, but where we start to realize we will get better. We will still experience the original symptoms, at an elevated level due to opiate induced hyperalgesia, a condition where opiate therapy ends up making pain worse and resulting in significant increased pain upon withdrawal. Shit gets better though.

Not my first round of addiction. I started off as an alcoholic, went to several detoxes and rehabs for that. I finally got sober for about 8 years and then I got addicted to traditional opiates. I used kratom to get off opiates. Went to detox for kratom and opiates. Then I got addicted to phenibut, tinapetine, za, etc. I went to detox for that. I was sober for a little bit and then found 7oh. Etc.

I do have have Vyvanse and dex. How did that help you get off 7oh? What dose?

I know alcohol and phenibut etc were technically much worse drugs where I really had the chance to die from withdrawals, but I don't know, this has really really sucked and I'm scared. I can't go to detox again.

Thank you!! Any recommendations as to how many subs to take? I was on 16mg of Suboxone when I started 7oh and have not taken more than 2mg of subs in over 2 months.

I want to add that my most recent time in detox, which was for a lower amount than I am on now, was really, really bad. Much worse than it was for when I was detoxing from opiates and felt similar to the time I was detoxing from phenibut, tinapetine, etc. Whether or not it is possible to have a seizure from 7oh, it definitely felt like I was going to have one (I had a grand mal seizure years ago from a tramadol OD). The doctors were not giving me the right meds to detox and it was a nightmare. Absolute hell. I really want to try to do this on my own.
