Howdy, Y'all!

I don't post much but I'm in desperate need of help that I'm only able to get here.

I cannot take methadone or suboxone. They tend to keeel meh.

I'm going thru some fierce WDs from opiates like hydrocodone 10s (12 each time), oxycodone 10s (6 each time), and Tylenol 4 (7 each time).

My mom is ill and I need to be there for her but I've had to change pants and shower 4 times so far today. I'll just let you guess why. Bubble guts are real. 😟

I'm trying to make it thru this alone. Cold Turkey.

I need any and every trick you have to get thru this without feeling worthless, useless (I'm disabled with Chronic pain so i usual feel like that anyway), wanting to not be here anymore (my depression gets so much worse), the sweats, the chills, the headaches, the crying, pooping, puking, foggy head, extra pain, restlessness, and everything else that comes with it makes it very hard to care for other folks.

I need to feel better by noon tomorrow. I know there's no miracle but LITERALLY ANYTHING useful would rocketh my sockeths!

Oh, sleeping tonight would be pretty cool, too.

At my disposal are Xanax, anti-diarrhea meds, Vistiril, Buspar, Gabapentin, Methacarbomal, Ambien... that's about it.
Maybe a little of the Lord's Lettuce.

Do I have any hope???

people get mad when they use benzos for opiate withdrawal, this is why going completely cold turkey is broken, you should use some tramadol with xanax

Gabapentin, Xanax, Vistril and antidiarreha meds during the day
Ambien/Buspar at night

Try to get some clonidine, it helps a lot

If you smoke, get some weed

Cold Turkey can be very painful, I wish you luck

Thank you, Everyone. I knew y'all would come through.

I just want to hide under my blanket until it's over. But the chills and sweats say no.

How long until this bad part is over?

is there no chance to taper usage in lieu of ct?
not sure if its been scheduled yet in the US or even know where you are globally but kratom could help somewhat especially if ya already in wds. it is a less addictive option at doses that help (not abuse) than say benzos or other routes.
kratom may be able to provide some dopamine (drive) to be able to function.
whatever ya opt to do try to keep it as short term as possible to avoid getting dependant on something else. like that two edged sword....
i wouldnt mess with anything sold as kraton but touted as 7-oh as i feel there is a huge mis information smear going on atm re this topic of kraton. 7-oh will undoubtedly have one way worse than previous substance.bplz shy away from that?

i should have been a kraton vendor with tons of stock....

appears you have stuff in hand to provide some comfort but the post reads you needs some "drive" to accomplish some basic care needs.

the gabapentin may help with *drive/dopamine a little.

thats some fairly heavy opioid use been there its no joke and i hope the best outcome for you and your lioved ones. tough situation, for sure. overwhelmingly so, ime/o.

true!! Kratom will help taper, 7-oh is just another opioid type to get hooked on like alot of others in this situation, well less hooked and more switching out, but that might be useful to depends

It takes 5x the half life and like three days until things start to get noticeably better if you don’t take any agonist. that means no taper as it doesn’t work.. it just prolongs the hell. You can try a dose of something with a huge half life and potentially walk of physically scot free. But every time you use a agonist you’re going to reset the hell clock. You can’t taper off opiates using opiates unless it’s a single dose of a very long acting one.

Like KetWise said.. then you have to stay clean.. the physical shit is the easy part.. you have to figure out the hard part or you will likely have multiple runs through the miserable physical withdrawals.

So what’s the big picture.. Acute, post acute and any addiction.. you have to solve your whole puzzle to get out.

First off, the most important thing is to have hope. I know how hard it can be to conjure it and it's a flame you have to kindle, but there is always hope. I know it sounds cliche, but it's always darkest before the dawn.

It sounds like you have some comfort meds. The Xanax should be used only when you really have bad restless leg syndrome or intense anxiety, if you can get it, a benzo like Valium with a longer half-life is both more long lasting and more versatile (there's a reason it's on the WHO's list for top 3 most important meds). The methacarbomal will help with relaxing your body and will definitely help with physical tension. The Ambien should be reserved for sleep (don't use it during the day or when you want to be active). The Gabapentin will help with neuropathic pain (I don't know what pain affliction you suffer from, but ime it will help with high, staggered doses). The tylenol 4s are problematic - you're consuming double the max recommended dose (for 24hrs) and it can really harm your liver - you have to cut that dose in half at the minimum. The lettuce has always helped me to just relax and zone out a bit to distract from the pain of crippling WDs.

In terms of non-pharmaceutical aids, I suggest a hot bath with epsom salts and lavender oil. Walks and gentle stretching can help too.

I'm rooting for you!
