🌟🌟 Social 🌟🌟 Gibberings ver. CCXIX - "what's new, c*nty chops?"

It could be a good idea though to use that kind of 'reason' as it could easily and readily account for any embarrassment or shiftiness felt whilst buying OTC opiates.

Because it can be embarrassing for some guys to have to talk about 'those sorts of women's problems;, and it might never cross the pharmacists mind, what the real reason for the purchase or potential embarrassment is.

I dont know if this is across the board, but my local branch of Boots never ask any awkward questions. In fact, the last time i went in for co-codamol. the pharmacist tried to sell me a stronger version which i wasnt aware existed. i think it was 12.5/500 as opposed to 8/500. I declined as i didnt want to seem too needy, but now i know they're available...

I think the 12.5mg codeine tablets are mixed with Ibuprofen, and they cost around £12, as opposed to the average price of £2.50 for the 8mg paracetamol ones.

I've never seen 12.5mg paracetamol formulations, but I could be wrong in my assumption.

When you have to start paying £12.00 and upwards, and then have to go through CWEs, which seem unreliable and dangerous to me, it seems to me that you might as well pay the extra £20 or £30, and just get 100% codeine, or 30mg co-codamol pills, from one of the many clearnet vendors that sell those things.

Although, I gather than street heroin can be cheaper than clearnet codeine/DHC/ tapentadol. I guess it depends on what doses you need. Not that I'm trying to encourage anyone to use heroin.

No, these were definitely codeine/paracetamol, and cheaper than the equivalent codeine/ibuprofen mix. As I said, I wasnt aware of these until the extremely helpful pharmacist brought them to my attention

As for the average price of Co-cos being £2.50, its more like £3.50 these days, except for that period when my local Asda had a fire sale at £1.50 recently.

The 12.8mg codeine and 500mg ones are the branded solpadeine ones which are coated which makes CWE harder but not impossible not really worth it at 12 quid a box, just get a couple boxes cheap coco. I don't think there's a Boots generic version 12.8/500, unless it's a new product.

Then there's the ibuprofen and 12.8mg codeine - neurofen plus - twelve quid. Or you can get boots generics and almus, for about a tenner.

Co-codamol generally 2 - 4 quid a box.

Just be careful and methodical with your CWE. I've said it before if you evaporate it off and weigh you get a better idea what you're taking. You'd be surprised how much paracetamol comes through sometimes. Patience is key.

These did appear to be a generic version, around the 6/7 quid mark, though i didn't want to be seen to study them too closely

These are the ones (packaging may have been updated).

I've always known they were on the market, but never bought them as they weren't in plain sight and I'd feel awkward asking.

At one point, the biggest Boots in town had empty boxes of co codamol and Paramol on the shelf, so you could just hand the box to the staff and they'd grab you a full one with minimal questions.

These never made it to the shelf to my knowledge.

That is exactly what worries me about the method. I guess that the majority of the paracetamol gets removed, but unknown amounts probably still get through.

Plus some of the codeine may not get through somehow.

Would you do the evaporation on a low simmer in a saucepan, or low heat oven tray, or put it on a plate on a sunny south facing window sill, or something like that, and be patient enough to wait for the liquid to evaporate that way?

It would be a good thing to do, to be able to ascertain exactly the weight of the product. As to whether you're getting exactly 8mg per pill, or a lot more besides.

That would settle or confirm any doubts about the process for sure.

Yeah, I've never seen them. Looks nice n uncoated. If it is probably just shellac. Not sure if the price point makes it worth it though.

£31.25 a gram.

Edit, sorry that's wrong. About £16.50 a gram. Vs about a tenner a gram for generic 8/500.

I did a write up on it, mate. I'll have a look. Hold on...

Here.

Should get you as close to all the codeine with small amount paracetamol.

Don't simmer or leave in the sun. Slow evaporation in a dark warmish room is the best.

theyre otc? how much more are they than the generic cheap one? 100percent more? 50 percent more? (I know price aint allowed so just want a rough)

I never got to try those generic paramol I heard they used to have in boots back in the day apparently they were real easy to cwe but by the time I got word and found out they had just stopped selling them.. I am sure I have told this story before but the first time I obtained cocodomal was on a bus I swear to god mums life I was in my teens getting on the bus on the way back from my dads and I saw one of them massive boxes that had 100 8/500 tabs in.. unfortunately I was so inexperienced with cwe and so paranoid of my mum catching me I messed it up and chucked it away.

They do have solpadine max they are red tabs and hella expensive. They are also terrible to cwe better off going to two pharmacies and getting the cheap ones.
