The FIRST THREE RULES DOES FEEL EXCESSIVE.
I don't trust a being that claims to be the source of everything but also goes on to become jealous at the drop of a hat.
In all cultures with gods those gods derive their power from worship/followers. Much like human idols derive their social power from their number of followers. That would mean that it's jealous and flies into a rage because if another being obtained more worshipers it would become more powerful than the god of the bible. Which is probably why so many feel the need to worship Lucifer/Satan instead of the god of the bible. The first THREE RULES DOES FEEL EXCESSIVE.

This would also mean that any old regular person or animal could obtain god-hood.
Many do outside of western nations. There are many people, animals and objects enshrined all over the world that have large numbers of followers that worship them and those beings are said to protect certain people/places.
Good stuff, no notes or particular disagreement. I mean I got questions, like how would ppl 'following, worshipping,etc.. me' actually lead to power?? (Other than like politically or influencing ppl)This all means that everyone and everything has the ability to reach god-hood and obtain that type of power. Provided they could collect enough worshipers. Which is most likely the source of the god in the bible's rage. It doesn't want you to find out that you can become just like it. Otherwise, you wouldn't be feeding it power unknowingly. Instead of praying to it for help you'd learn how to help yourself.
I have always found it suspicious that western religion seems to run on the same two-party bullshit system that western politics functions on. Where large groups of people are following two main characters. Who keep the large groups of people in-fighting and chasing their tails. Where nothing positive happens.
Never forget that our original sin/crime was learning about good and evil/knowledge. Then we were quickly ousted from the garden before we could learn some other forbidden knowledge. Probably the knowledge that would have lifted the veil and allowed us to become gods. We're supposed to have the divine spark after all.
I think we were all tricked into coming in here and the entire system is set up to keep us confused so we can't find out way back out. Why would I care about what's happening inside of this evil place beyond helping my loved ones find the way out of it?
Why would I want to keep living here when I could go off and make my own fun place?
If it really cared about you and was your "father" it wou ld want you to go off and do better than it did. Instead of living in its basement for eternity.
I recognise your rationale and line of reasoning from my own atheist/agnostic days. All I'd say is that no "western religion" is a valid nor genuine representation. "Eastern attitudes" are a mixed bunch also. From what I can see, people are mislead by church-type religion or the religion of scientism. Someone else said it best:I think we were all tricked into coming in here and the entire system is set up to...
The nihilistic viewpoint of scientism espouses materilistic reductionism that cant explain anything in reality.
From what I've seen, that's a core tenant. But seen from an atheist perspective many things might remain obfuscated and thus misinterpreted. For context, many christians don't genuinely understand the bible either. If it really cared about you and was your "father" it would want you to go off and do better than it did.
God used ketamine in turkey.
ead the Bible, Jesus is the Son of God and The Holy Spitit exists. They form the Holy Trinity. I am not going to argue with people who haven't read and studied The Bible. It's a common misconception which I once believed also. All angels obey God and enact his bidding which covers all aspects of duality.
The trinity doesn't exist within the bible. It's an additional construct which has been construed and formally adopted by some but that's all. God ("the ancient of days" - Daniel 7:9) existed before everything, including any humans. Nothing is equal to him, and the bible frequently describes Jesus as having a god.

Roman Catholics ( and indeed anyone else for that matter) are not required to justify their belief. If you choose to not believe in the Trinity, that is fine. There are no absolute winners in a discussion in this sub forum. It is a means for exchange of ideas, not to declare absolute certainty.Roman Catholics consistently fail to coherently justify the trinity and only do so by resorting to philosophising.
I thought the bible was about what God does...
It could also be said that it is documentation of the the history and agreements between God and and Humans. A "Testament" is an agreement between two parties. The Old Testament was the Mosaic (Moses) and the New Testament is Christian (Jesus).I thought the bible was about what God does...
