I'm 68 years old. The current government in ameriKa' is the worse it's ever been. I'm glad I won't be around long. People need to start homesteading and start learning how to supprt themselves. We've done it before, then our shitty corrupt gov (and it's cockroach tenacles) spoiled us and made us lazy. We stopped gardening, stopped working jobs for ourselves and stopped taking care of our families, even when they were disabled, elderly and fragile. We did it with no governemnt funding or their "help."
It's my opinion we will face something like that very soon. The people who laugh at everyone who decided to become a prepper ( I prefer the term "homesteading') won't be laughing for long. I'm a homesteader. It was a dream of mine since I was a teen. I 100% off grid and won't starve to death thats for sure - and bartering is already very popular here in the high country here in the Colorado Rockies. Of course medical care will be the hardest challenge. We'll need some type of a underground system. Humans have survived for years and our ancestors had very little but they knew how to survive, grow and hunt food, cook and build shelters. And they were still happy. No reason we can't adjust and live like we once did. Out of bad comes good..so they say.
