Bloody dumb-ass admin person at the hospital was supposed to be texting me her email address so that I could send the consultant any questions I have about my surgery, before our appointment tomorrow morning.
Incredibly, rather than just texting me her email address straight away, she added the "task" to her "To Do List"!
That has got to be the most ridiculously unproductive, inefficient, time wasting thing I've ever heard!
I guess it would have been rude of me to have asked her if she'd not heard the productivity rule about not adding work tasks to lists, when they would take less than 5 minutes to do. Instead you just do them immediately. I really don't know these days, customers definitely seldom held back on any criticisms of me, my perceived work performance, or the companies in general, when I worked in those kind of roles. Yes I hated those aresholes that were so rude, so I guess that is my answer. But so many people just don't care about not being rude these days, or how they make the person on the other end of the phone feel. I dunno though, it seems to have been a growing consensus for some time, that anyone is entitled to express an opinion or a thought, regardless of whether it causes offense, and pisses off the other person.
Ideally, there'd have been a socially skilled way of getting the message across, without coming across like an areshole, but unfortunately I did not have the necessary inspiration at the time!
I mean, texting someone an email address, should take about 10 seconds! Her phone will probably even autocomplete her email address for her, once she starts typing it. It's absolutely ridiculous, and guess what? The text has still not been sent, and at this rate the appointment will happen before the consultant gets my questions, and so we will be wasting his time, and my time, all because the admin person was too dizzy to take 10 seconds out of her day to text me her email address,
Seriously unimpressed by this.
Yeah I know this is massively over-thinking a trivial matter, but it's still Annoying. And it is the Gibberings thread after all , so if over thinking Gibberings belong anywhere, it's here!
