๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Social ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ Gibberings ver. CCXIX - "what's new, c*nty chops?"

Yeah if your on about Mirtaz, Iโ€™d sleep walk, and apparently would go downstairs to talk to my family but pass out and drool over myself, no memory of it.

I was a fat bastard that time my god, I was drinking on top of it too, and getting those horrendous munchies.

I think I was 85-90kg but with no muscle, when I lost all the fat I was only 63kg so I was a fatty boom boom.
we are English, we use a weird thing called the Imperial system ;)

I am English Zopi! I just always preferred KG over stone and pounds as a Gen Z cunt
I stand corrected, I apologise.

Being late Gen X you lot had it so hard, at least Gen X had a chance to see things before a cost of living crisis pushed us all to live like we are in The USSR.
You ever heard a dial-up modem or had to spend 10 mins to download a basic image of Pamela Anderson showing her tits?

I'll give you ยฃ5 if you can tell me what this is without cheating.

Ah your cool;)

I generally think Iโ€™ve always had modern broadband, I was on YouTube in year 3 lol..

But I remember if the house phone rang the entire internet would trip and my brother would scream (disconnected from his cod 4 game)

I remember my brother being the estate rockstar when he had a blackberry.. I must of only been like 6-7?

But I am proud to say I used to have a VHS copy of Terminator 2 with all the deleted scenes.. which was my childhood obsession

Your fiver is safe I believe but it looks like a drive for these old discs we used to have for our windows computer.. but I canโ€™t be sure lol

My ยฃ5 is safe, it's a Betamax Cassette.

Back in the day it was VHS VS Betamax to see what would become the leading form of Media back in the day.

I am still smiling at "I remember my brother being the estate rockstar when he had a blackberry" that line killed me, I can remember it so well.
The Nokia 3310 will be the 2nd only thing to survive the nuclear apocalypse.

I generally miss those early 2000 vibes, so pure.

I know itโ€™s idealistic and not realistic, every generation has that nostalgia lens that clouds objectivity etc etc..

But if that was the peak of humanity and things stayed like that? A little bit of tech, a novelty sure but it didnโ€™t take over the whole world..

Another one for you is Beebo. I remember begging my parents to let me make a account

My God that was a blast from the past, I never had Myspace or any social media till the early 2010's.

Very true, I have always wished I was around a little bit before I was actually born, I have always been queer for the really early Rave days like Biology, Sunrise, Spiral Tribe & as strange as it may sound I truly wish I had been at The Battle Of Beanfield, I would have taken all the Cops on with @ageingpartyfiend

Gotta give it to the cunts like @F.U.B.A.R. @ageingpartyfiend @LoginNotSecure @Shambles they lived this, what would be better than pulling up in your old Vauxhall Nova to dance around for 3 days on Pure MDMDA / MDA?

Anyone seen the film Weirdsville?

It's a great stoner/drug/buddy movie almost comic book like in places and absolutely hilarious still with a bit edge to it.

It's free to watch on Prime. HIGHly recommended.

"Two stoners try to dump the body of a girlfriend who overdosed in an abandoned drive-in theater, and they run into a cult of Satanists performing a ritual sacrifice."

I gotta see this movie, how have I never heard of this before?

Yeah, man. Hundred percent sane here. I love the early acid house stuff from both sides of the Atlantic. Early jungle too.

If I was born just a few years earlier n could have immersed myself in that culture. Well... Then I'd be somebody else entirely and probably dead.

I'm very grateful for the life I got though.

I'm not even surprised by how similar we are anymore @Zopiclone bandit . Don't suppose you want to get your willy cut off and be turned into a girl? I'd make an honest woman out of you and treat you right...๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Yeah I don't know how I missed it first time round. I fucking love it though.

You will too, it's fucking genius.

Honestly the less you know about it before you watch it the more you'll enjoy it. Money back if unsatisfied.

I'm a relatively early Gen Xer, and tbh I wasn't sure what that was myself! I never saw one with my own two eyes "IRL".

It's another example of the funny old world we live in, with Betamax being widely recognised as being the much better option for picture and sound quality, and yet we all ended up with the second rate VHS format.

You may or may not know why, I've found out a couple of times, but keep forgetting! As far as Wikipedia is concerned there were several reasons why this happened.

By the time audio compact discs hit the market, I had seen various technologies come and go, and I predicted that the CD would be a short lived flash in the pan. Obviously I got it wrong about how long they would remain popular, but I was right that they wouldn't be around for ever, and would be replaced by something else.

But now many people are choosing to rent access to music, on subscription based streaming services like Spotify etc. This must be the worst option ever! Everything favours the corporations and businesses these days, certainly not the customers. I hope this is the shortest lived phase!

Seeing as CD albums can be picked up for pennies in charity shops these days, it would make sense to buy favourite albums to own for posterity, while they are so cheaply available. Although I believe that there are issues with the long term durability of discs.

We'd probably be better off all going back to vinyl LPs, if only the stores would stop charging lunatic prices for new vinyl LPs these days.
