I feel like I've spent more time communicating with the government than my uncle did when he was caught doing paramilitary bank jobs

You probably already know, but if you are on more than one item for a regular repeat prescription, then you can save big time by buying a 3 month prepayment certificate. I think they cost around £30 - £32 (although there may still be an option on them to select 'unemployment exemption' on them.)Then visit the pharmacy to find out they no longer give free mental health prescriptions, so you have to ask a mate for some of the cash you paid back to him so you can simply stay well.
Yeah, I have a PPC. Thank goodness for them. You probably already know, but if you are on more than one item for a regular repeat prescription, then you can save big time by buying a 3 month prepayment certificate. But even if you do have to pay the £30, you'll be saving £9.55 for any additional scripts you may be on, if it's more than one. And I know that every £9.55 really counts when you are on JSA.
I signed up for the free delivery by arrangement, that is also included in the price, as very often after long and busy days at work I really hate having to go out to the pharmacist to collect my renewals, when I just want to shut the door on the world, and have no more dealing with people to do that day. As my 'social battery' is running on empty by that stage, and needs re-charging, and not running around on errands like that.
She kept a diary over a year and more, without ever making a comment to me or my manager. Totally ignored anybody else, but handed fifteen complaints over in about August / September.Seems an extreme over reaction on their part. Surely a warning would have sufficed.
I hope she sleeps well at night knowing her actions have resulted in putting someone out of work, and on the dole.
I follow numerous neuro-divergent people on youtube. Some of them are "advocates" and at the cutting edge of the neuro-diversity movement, believing that they have a 'difference', and not a disability. They are the movement it seems to me, along with ND authors, and those other ND people that are gifted in various ways by their neuro divergence. These are also the people that get all huffy if anyone suggests that they are the lucky onesDoing my PIP claim was horrendous it took two therapy sessions as my therapist had to help me do it, and it brought back some seriously repressed trauma.
I got denied and have appealed, they used the fact a man with severe hyperactivity attending the gym means ADHD, Autism, and EUPD is actually benign and doesn’t effect daily living.
Doesn’t matter how I explained that the gym is a necessity to survive being trapped in this prison of a body and it stops me from burning, cutting, binge drinking, and gives me a reason to actually eat properly.
These days 50% of the time I don’t go because I’m acutely unwell or so stressed from trying to get things done I don’t have any time left.
Give them an inch and they take a mile etc.
funny for them they called adhd medication mental health medication and it’s “evidently adequately treating my condition”
In my appeal I explained thoroughly I actually take medication for a neurological disability.
And it’s not exactly effective. I spend 8 hours obsessively cleaning because I’m overwhelmed and stimulated then I sleep for 12 hours when I crash.
I’m planing to go to tribunal if the appeal doesn’t work.
. By the very definition that they dont consider themselves to have a disability, its blatantly self evident to everyone, except them, apparently, that they ARE the lucky ones.
Despite this major issue I have with some of them and the 'movement', many of them do a great job of unpacking Autistic and ADHD lived experiences and explaining many issues and potential ways around them, or ways and means of coping or adjusting asbest as possible.I follow numerous neuro-divergent people on youtube. Some of them are more 'average' autistic people, and by that I don't mean these super-bright fantastically articulate and engaging communicators, but they are way more 'ordinary' in their Autism. There's one particular young woman, Dana Anderson, IRC, and if you can get past her voice and accent, that for some reason irritates the fuck out of me, she has some good things to say.
And the relevance of all this is basically that if she appears to be together and her home neat and organised, it's because she cannot and does not work. She cannot hold down a job for any length of time, IIRC, and every time she's tried, things completely fall apart for her domestically. I can relate so much. My ADHD stims are helping me for work, but my 'executive dysfunction' at home has got so much worse.
I dont think PIP assessors take things like this into account, when obviously they should do. They have no comprehension of how much it can take out of ND folk to try to hold down a job, with all other aspects of life that need dealing with on top of that.
If I wasn't on a variety of prescription and self medicated meds I don't believe that I could cope with the vast majority of work places, with their social demands, huge stress, and total sensory overwhelm.
Thank Fuck for benzos honestly. For sure I'd be poverty stricken and out of work otherwise, or probably fighting a never ending battle for my own PIP case.
I've heard this too, and it definitely makes sense, 1 million times over, from the inside out. (I can almost physically feel it. And benzos are like the holy grail that normalises my nervous system, to some extent or other. Quite a large extent, on the whole.)BTW The guy I mentioned spoke about autism basically having a GABA deficiency. Makes a lot of sense to me and why I would abuse benzos and alcohol when I was younger.

You could move north of the border ,prescriptions are free and quality of living standards are some of the best in the western worldYou probably already know, but if you are on more than one item for a regular repeat prescription, then you can save big time by buying a 3 month prepayment certificate. Why wait until the weekendFollowing on from this thread: https://bluelight.org/xf/threads/eadd-job-club.375052/
Are you all still work shy cretins? Or have something fulfilling going on in your life, or just trudging it through till the weekend where you get a brief respite before it all begins again?
I've heard this too, and it definitely makes sense, 1 million times over, from the inside out.
In terms of why I'm so drawn to GABAergic substances of all types. Apart from not really alcohol for some reason. I guess I would be, if I could not get anything else.
And then with ADHD basically being a chronic deficiency of the dopamine system, these 2 things fully explain why I was so drawn to uppers and downers for decades before I discovered my diagnoses and the biological reasons why my substance choices make so much sense to me, and are so helpful.
Despite what most people say, I believe it is possible to take benzos long term without developing crazy tolerances. But you do have to be extremely disciplined and controlled to do this. Sometimes I am, sometimes I slip up.

One of his videos about jobs appeared in my feed a couple of days ago. I bookmarked it by liking it, rather than watch it though, and I have so many of these that I mean to come back to later, than I miss most of them.I watch a really good lad, Adelaide alchemist, who gave me a lease of life as he is so good at explaing these things. He is more on the disability side, where he believes that what it is in the context of the world as we can’t fit in.
I think the same could be true of other drugs as well , regarding benzos if it were prescribed long term and taken as advised without alcohol (which ironically could be the most harmful of all drugs yet can be bought in huge amounts ) then I believe there is no better anti depressant for those who are truly depressed or suffer huge anxietyI've heard this too, and it definitely makes sense, 1 million times over, from the inside out. Sometimes I am, sometimes I slip up. It's mostly with the other GABA substances that I use recreationally, that sets back all my hard work with controlling and reducing my benzo doses.![]()
