Trigger Warning What triggered the opioid epidemic in the US

'The rapper, who goes by the stage name of Christ Bearer, made headlines in 2014 after injuring his manhood in the North Hollywood area...'

Ouch. Uncertain exactly which bit of the male genetalia is termed 'the North Hollywood area', but it SOUNDS painful.

Guy does sound like your actual common or garden idiot because a year later he said "I'm proud of what I did," he says. "In the annals of history I don't think anybody did it."
So, was it lopped clean off or just merely 'damaged'?

He's 'proud' of it? Because it's probably a 'first'? Well, I guess we have to take our self esteem where we can find it in lean times, in times of, errrr, loss!

It's unlikely that anyone has ever before chopped their dick in half, stuck some honey roasted ham in there and then superglued the removed piece of penis back on to make a one-time-only phallus ham sandwich either. If that could cure someone's low self-esteem issues then we could really be onto something here. Rapid kitchen-based self help interventions. £100 a session would be my rates, extra for organic ham.

I suppose it's better for his mental health to be proud than him being in a bad place because of it though. Still...

Clean off --- he may have a stump idk lol the interview did not go further than that. Than he attempted to wax philosophical over it and I could tell it bugged the interviewer -- no i got like real questions here! lol

I think he implied being a sexual deviant of some kind ( I dont wanna say chomo but im thinkin it ) and realized he was "Using his dick as a weapon" --- maybe it is best he is disarmed??

Who fucking knows man -- maybe PCP happened to be the PERFECT SENTENCE.....

Maybe he is just like any other man on earth and is DESPERATELY TRYING TO SAVE FACE after doing about the most embarassing thing possible. (unless the other thing; that SHOULD BE much more embarassing)

"In PCP brain to hand immediately?" like in vino veritas

The lord moves in mysterious ways!

I seem unnervingly fascinated by the detail. Like, where was it chopped - root, tip, or middle? Call me a wuss, but neither option sounds particularly appealing. Did he spend ages sharpening the knife? Or......axe? :eek:Was it a clean, swift scchtboppp and it's done or was there any hacking or (God forbid, and please do so even though I don't believe in you) sawing ?

Does he still possess the liberated partial penis? Is it on display, mounted like a hunted stags-head, trophy style? He is proud of himself after all so I would not be surprised tbh. If it is on display I wonder if he stuffed it in order to claim greater size?

Hamilton PCP episode and shoot idk some random interview spiced into a "Rap's wildest stories" compilationo on youtube is the source info.

As a knife guy now you got me wondering too -- straight edge razor? Lol if it isnt googleable throw it up on draftkings or w/e and let the ppl have some fun.

(Haha these feel like youtube questions ( I wanna type in christ bearer genital mutilation into a search engine the same amount as you!)

ahh ok.

So he had been reading a book about monks and vasectomies and, prior to jumping from the second storey, he decided that a little pre-jump self-vasectomy attempt was just the ticket

Anyway, he survived, penis was reattached and now works 'almost normally' but he 'may not be able to have more kids'.

So, in the grand scheme of things, things could easily have been a lot worse. We (hopefully) live and learn

Good job with the research --- did it say anything about sexual abuse allegations (Self admitted or otherwise) or did I just totally slander that dude based off my interpretation of his odd philosophical castration rant?

https://ktla.com/news/local-news/wu...ist-bearer-explains-why-he-severed-his-penis/ DAMN I DONT SEE ANY ALLEGATIONS. Just a strange strange choice of words IMPO

What kind of blade he use! I already have the house riding on it ... (That one is rhetorical unless you feel like checking)

I only just remembered but some two millenia ago the Roman cult of Cybele (Magna Mater) had a priesthood (Galli) whose initiation rite involved self-castration using a flint knap.

So I don't know him, but if anyone does know 'Christ Bearer', tell him that hundreds and possibly even thousands of men got into castration long, long before he did.

If one was feeling particulatly callous, add that in many eras of the Chinese empire, the only men allowed into the palaces of the rulers were armed guards and the only men allowed to go into the harems were the Huanguan/Taijian eunochs. Again, they certainly numbered in the thousands and very likely over the centuaries more likely tens of thousands of men submitted to this 'body modification' on the basis that it was more or less like joining the civil service and had a career path and was essentially a job for life.

Apparently the act of castraction was termed 'leaving home' on the basis that castration was so shameful that the eunoch could never go back to their village, let alone back to their families.

I blame this family.

The wikipedia page is a good start. They literally admit to it openly and fled the country during covid with all the profits. Still profiting massively off bupe (their punishment was to supply bupe for the next decade or so). They own the main pharma company producing the chinese fent to.

I just read it and it's misleading in multiple ways. It makes it sound like they're actually paying a fine (which is bad enough). In reality they declared bankruptcy and got full immunity while doing it. The money they're "paying" is being put towards setting up clinics which have to turn right around and buy bupe from companies they run. They didn't agree to stop selling opioids, just one specific formulation of oxycodone (e.g. OxyContin).

It also tries to white wash Elizabeth Ann Sackler with the lie she keeps repeating that her side of the family never profited off the drug sales. She expects you to believe she's just got endless money to piss away on stuff like horrible art expos and other typical "social justice" bullshit these families always donate to whenever they want to hide their crimes and dirty money. Liz is just as bad as the rest of them. In fact, she's worse. She knew exactly what her two brothers were up to.

I wrote a long article about this while it was happening. The court case was overshadowed by covid because it all happened during mid-2020-2022. There was never a peep about it in the media other than 15 second sound bites. Most people still aren't aware it happened at all.

In late 2019 the Sackler family fled the country collectively to England and moved trillions of dollars into off shore accounts. That's how they hid their money and got a lower "fine" and were able to declare bankruptcy. The only reason they even came to court was the US Government told them to fly back on their own or prepare to be forced. They let them come testify behind closed doors then walk free.

These three people alone murdered 100s of millions and knowingly did it. They've said several times that the deaths don't matter because the people they sold drugs too aren't really people.

I can tell you from personal experience that if you publish anything about this family federal goons show up at your house in force. Want to know who rules over you? Find out who you aren't allowed to criticize. I found out the hard way.

^Sorry bout the experience. You should check out the "Blackmarket" episode called "The great american rehab scheme" -- They are straight up stealing and traficking ppl for there insurance money *usually natives in AZ and homeless folk from a few places*

They have pushed me into rehab twice -- first time I was a sucker and took the courts program, actually managed to get the lady running it fired, err teaching it and there was no replacement.

The second time I went to a sub doctor before court and got that counted as rehab because sometimes you can do that (apparently)

Not a happy place though -- probation was bad enough for me.....Actually probation is when big pharma got me with benzos. I say got me...I needed the sleep Im not complaining too much. ( I had weed I would not have needed them to begin with though )
Been to rehab 2 times and just to detox once. All pretty terrible experiences. During my second full stay (pre tranq H) some patients were getting high left and right because someone brought shit in with them and another had a bf sneak H in during visitation. At first, I thought they were just getting over medicated by the rehab but then heard the deal. All patients ended up getting drug tested like 19 days into our stay. I *volunteered * to go first becauase i knew i was good.... except.... i...wasn't? The nurse had this look on her face and I was so confused. I said "it's negative, right?" And she shows me the cup with a positive under the opiates. This was for my drug court, so now I was panicked and freaked out and still so confused. And then it hit me... every morning in the cafeteria, there were always a bunch of poppyseed muffins. They were delicious and extra food is a nice little come up. I ate a ton of them little shits. It never occured to me that they would be a hazard to my future, besides maybe the caloric intake. I honestly thought it was a myth that eating poppy seed bagels could cause a positive result for opiates. You'd have to eat so many poppy seeds, right?! Wrong. It was not an obscene amount. Just a daily snack. The director and my counselor sent the test out to a lab and had to know what was up based on what came back (codeine and morphine) but instead, they grilled me and intimidated me for 15 to 20 minutes, trying to get me to "admit" to something I never did. It was surreal. Ultimately, a day or so later, they decided to let me stay, probably because they knew that eating poppy seeds breaks down into codeine and morphine and there was only one other person who said that they ate a lot of poppy seed muffins, but unfortunately he ended up also testing positive for subutex, which he obtained illicitly from another patient and was then kicked out with about 7 or 8 other people.

I want to check out that episode of Blackmarket. My streaming services are kind of limited right now tho. The way that everything is priced these days is a bit much. With all the mergers, they're slowly but surely making the internet as shitty as cable. (Thats a whole other discussion)

I have heard such horror stories about getting off of benzos. That is a state of mind I hope I never end up in. This is something that I never thought I would say but... benzos actually helped me kick a 1.5 year long tranq dope habit. It incrementally snuck into the supply and I didn't realize until it was already too late. Before I was able to get enough benzos though, I had tried to quit three times; one of the times involved a detox facility. I have been clean from opiates and (and benzos) going on 3 years in April.

Jail is a place that, so far, I have been lucky (and/or privileged) enough to avoid. I have an arrest record (misdemeanor-drugs-possession) but I've never been to jail or prison. I know that I am no different than many addicts who.have been incarcerated. I've met people who have been to county jail for lesser offenses. For a while there, I thought maybe we would see some actual change regarding our prison system, but like almost every other societal problem, people talk about it for a second but thats it. Its just people getting mad and doing nothing.

Wow. I lost my dad to covid in Jan of 2021... and started using tranq (or at least realizing it) about 8 or 9 months later(best guess), so this is the first time I am reading about this.

It could also be that I missed hearing it because the story was buried so deep or was barely reported on

The fact that people like this continue to get away with such heinous crimes against the public, really doesn't dissuade me from thinking there is a concerted effort to dumb, numb, and pacify. We keep witnessing wealthy sociopaths "get their's", at the expense of everyone else, over and over like Groundhog Day, except this shits not funny.

Sorry about your experience -- I once popped positive for morphine at a sub clinic when there was 0% chance I had took any. Poppy seed bagels/muffins should be well on their radar - depending how long ago that happened (and how truthful you are being) there may be a lawsuit there....especially if the facility (Or an institution) --- you said cafeteria which usually implies patterns protocols and paperwork. (Good chance its on record those poppy seed bagels existed)

You can catch the episode on youtube if you want -- different level of fucked up, they pulling ID's and papers, dragging ppl to new states after they get high 'one last time' in the rehab van. Human Trafficking is the phrase.

Stay away from the tranq dope -- that shit made me quit H --- and be a little pissed at the chinese and mexico. (Moreso with our drug laws but I digress)

Oh sweet. Youtube is very easily accessible!

Congratulations! I am very aware of how terrible tranq is, as I ended up on it for about a year... a year plus... It was horrible and scary but it also led to me quitting opiates/hard shit all together. I'm still a work in progress... I have had a few slip ups with cocaine (powder) but no benders.

The poppy seed rehab experience ended up working out for me, thankfully. I was eventually believed and allowed to finish the program. Had i not been able to do so, I would have fought it legally. No question. If it hadn't been court mandated, I might not have cared as much. I truly don't understand wanting to be high in a place like that though. Those muffins weren't euphoric, they were just delicious. Haha. And of course, the day after I was called in and questioned, guess what wasn't being served for breakfast in the cafeteria anymore? 😅

"A little pissed at China and Mexico..." such a complex issue that could be greatly simplified by legalizing and regulating all drugs. I wish more people understood that prohibition is a big part of the machine keeps the drug problem going. We want less drug use and less addicts, but when you try to tell them that legalizing drugs will lower the rate of use and addiction, while also keeping more people alive, the discussion gets shut down with the notion that by legalizing drugs, it gives people the impression that the government condones drug use or that drugs are safe/ok to use. Tranq dope wouldn't even be a thing because no one actually wants or likes that poison.

Big pharma.
For years they flooded universities and medical conferences with presentations about the hell that is living with chronic pain. Once they got the idea that it's better to turn people into pill zombies than letting then tough it up with cannabis or ketamine anchored into the mind of every doctor. They then went from telling them it was morally good to give opiate pain killers to straight up calling clinics to tell doctors that if they prescribed enough pain killers they would get all expenses paid vacations in southern countries (my mom worked as a secretary in medical clinics and she was getting flooded with these calls being told to relay the information to doctors). In the end they ended up making way more money through methadone clinics ment to "treat" the patients than from selling them the pain killers that got them hooked in the first place. Sorry if my sentences are a bit fumbled english is'nt my native tongue.

If your talking about Fentanyl than the Culprit is China. Their the ones flooding Mexico with chemicals to produce Fent. It's all Chinas Cold War against the U.S. One thing is that China remembers it History with Europe during Chinas Opiate Crisis during the first part of the century. And now their doing what Europe did to them. Only that it's directed at the U.S. instead.

LITTLE pissed with china and -- and only a little.

They are just playing the game by the rules that we set up. No reason regulated heroin and opium couldn't be on the shelves. (Other than pearl clutching and darwinism) Im okay with both

Good thread!
As we all know, the DEA Came down so hard on the doctors making them afraid to prescribe, Even to legitimate chronic pain sufferers. I'm a 20 year chronic pain sufferer and have a responsibly taken oxycodone all these years. I was able to have somewhat of a quality of life.
My pain clinic has shut down and there is no Doctor within a million miles.Who is gonna prescribe
My oxycodone. So what is a person to do?
I can see why Good honest people end up turning to the streets and. Nobody seems to mention.
The higher suicide rate because of people who can't take the pain and can't get their legitimate meds.

Imo, The epidemic has gotten worse because of these people who feel they have no choice but to turn to the streets and end up getting dirty drugs and overdosing.
It seems to me that the "War on drugs" Has back fired.
It was the war on prescription opiods that caused the pain issues. I am a pain patient for around a decade. I know how bad it sucks. The obama administration went after prescription opiods, even for those of us who really need them.

I can't take really anything but pure opiods( no Tylenol ones) Oxycodone I have control over. Chronic pancreatitis and liver problems means one thing.

Opiods( prescribed ) or suffer. This is an issue that came during Obamas war on opiods.
The real victims are not the people who used oxycodone to get high and died.

It is people like us who have no other options but to take them or suffer. There is nothing I can take but strong pure opiods that will esae t h e pain enough to want to keep on living.

I stopped taking Morphine( I was on both) because the pain greatly lessened. I was not pressured or cut off.

I didn't need it so I did a taper after 6+ years of 24/7 morphine and used comfort meds.

My doctor was shocked that I told him I am tapering and need comfort meds because I no longer needed the morphine.

He helped me and I kept my low dose of oxycodone and was even given a small bump.

The war on drugs and the war on pain patients are two different things. This is not about recreational use. It is about not suffering as much.

Obama's war on opiods only made it worse for all. Millions of pain patients suffer and then they only had the streets. At about the same time, fent replaced heroin in America is about when the pain patients were really made to suffer.

True pain patients who are responsible; are not the same as those just trying to get high. But they are the real victims. The government can't legislate pain away.
They can only lessen it by letting doctors do their job without fear of Big Brother.

I think you focus too much on the difference between "Legitimate medical use" and the vast grey area in between that most of us dwell in.

Again I challenge you to frame this in a way that is "Obama's war on opioids" --- Please present SOME FACTUAL EVIDENCE OF SUCH.

Whitmer (MI) made the morphine "cap" on prescriptions 1/2 of what it use to be? (The best I can gather so far from what you presented) --- Could you provide an article or something?
