What’s everyone’s take on that?
I actually read the Qur’an last year and decided to go all in. I’m not here to debate but I was kind of sold when the book claimed it was the literal speech of a Deity and claimed Life is a test to see who is best in deeds.
It claims this Life is not real and it is a journey to the real life(Paradise) if you can prove yourself here and upon death begins the lonely segment of the journey until we arrive at the Inevitable Event the Qur’an speaks of which all of humanity will be gathered by Allah for his final assessment on humans on how we did and all of our deeds small to big will be placed on a scale and all of us will have a conversation with Him and after that either you get punished or rewarded.
Obviously Islam and its teachings are more nuanced than that but that’s the basic gist of it.
I mean why is any of this, life/conciousness even here?
Why is geometry and mathematics so important and fine tuned into everything?
Life and existence make 0 sense because none of it is possible in the first place which makes me inclined to believe in something with an infinite mind left us here with finite minds to be tested so obviously you won’t understand the universe and the mystery behind it.
I’m not scared of death but I’m literally shaken to the core this is my only chance at Life out of the billions of years so logically I feel inclined to participate in a belief system.
Thoughts?
