Do you like reading? I found myself back to this habit and i need recommendations!!!

Dear Leader by Jang Jin-Sung.
Poet, spy, escapee.( non fiction)
A Look Inside North Korea.

I am going to try to read it again because, I read part of it( less than half) and never finished it, even though I like it and it is in my stack of, my to read books.

It is from the real life of a high ranking and ' Untouchable" higher up( who was rather young) but had access to privilege and a good life, for a North Korean, until a minor mistake made him run for his life.

I have a huge book collection but I need to get back into reading also.

I find that real life non-fiction can be better than fiction.

Although the beat writers like, Kerouac and Williams S Burroughs, kind of blurred the lines between fiction and their real lives. That is also great.

I still can't find my copy of Burroughs first book: Junky. I want to read it again.
I also need to read Jack Kerouac's best and most famous novel: On The Road. I wanna read it again.

Read Junky recently it was amazing, one of those books that catches your attention. I read it all in one go when I had a night of insomnia

I love his voice ,he was a unique narrator
I'm not sure if the whole of Junky is on you tube but there is segments that may amount to the full novel

Spot on his voice and narration is awesome. I listened to the whole book after reading because it still sustained such interest with hearing him say it in his own words

It often sounds like he was running out of momentum only to take a deep breath and read on flawlessly

"Junky" is a beautiful book about an awful stupid way of living.

Stupidity and ugliness make for great literature.

I loved Bukowski. It helps if you've had pointless, hopeless job after hopeless job. Working as a mail person when all post offices have been sold and closed in my country was utter stupidity. The real reward was reading Bukowski's "Post Office".

Why are we here? If the answer is there is no answer, is that the answer?
