Coming off Invega/Xeplion (paliperidone) injections v 12

is it possible the worsening or return of my symptoms could be withdrawals as it started 2.5 months offf?
 
so this is the only information I have but if this works and this is mostly vibes then I have potentially found the cure to neuroleptics induced anhedondia and other debilitating symptoms

I was speaking to someone who took paliperdione in a different place ( they took only 3 doses) , they said after 7-8 months, they took medication called abilify and mirtazpine for a couple of months and after that they felt better, they now said the only remaining symptom they have their vision is blurry sometimes but otherwise everything is great

they can’t remember the dosages as they took it in a hospital but i am guessing 5mg of abilify as it helps with dopamine and 30mg of mirtazpine as it’s more activating at higher doses and less sedating

I am going to try it myself when I reach that mark, anything is better than committing suicide, we have a life to live

@Matthew01 you are 9 months, do you think it’s worth a try?

it’s possible they recovered naturally but this is just a hypothesis and it could be a potential pattern that could lead to saving hundreds of lives

So... I’m going to tell you briefly about my BEFORE and AFTER Invega Sustenna. I had already been hospitalized in a psychiatric clinic for a few months, and I was in a mixed state. A little depression and a lot of hypomania... No medication could get me out of that state. That’s when I was prescribed Invega. I took the initial pills, and nothing bad happened... But 2 days after taking the injection, I crashed from hypomania into a MAJOR and very severe depression. I remember that on that second day, while hospitalized, I had a session with the psychologist, and I—who used to be 'way too talkative'—couldn't open my mouth to speak a well-formed sentence. It felt like I had severe cognitive problems.

N After that, it was nothing but Major depression, total anhedonia, lack of interest in things, and the presence of suicidal thoughts. (Detail: I’ve had a bipolar diagnosis for 12 years and had never attempted suicide, but in 2025 I attempted it 4 times. Result: Invega completely took my life away.

Right now, I’m going through moderate depression, as it is more linked to GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder), which is stagnant. Seriously, I don’t react to the world because of the anxiety I feel; it's so brutal that it causes me pain and a 'tearing' sensation in my heart.

Result: I, who before Invega took 30mg of Vyvanse and felt extremely energetic, without anxiety, and even with euphoria similar to ecstasy or MD... After Invega, I went to my 'escape valve' by taking 30mg, and I felt absolutely nothing (believe it)! The only thing that remained was a decrease in anxiety.

Result: I went straight to the 70mg dose and felt a 'slight,' almost imperceptible effect of acceleration.

That’s when I moved up to 2, and NOTHING; I went up to 3 Vyvanses of 70mg, and that’s when I felt something (close) to the 30mg Vyvanse, but still, FAR from being my old 30mg Vyvanse in terms of euphoria and total energy!

I’m telling you this and questioning it at the same time. This happened in October 2024 (Invega Sustenna).

My biggest question is: is this 'resistance' to Vyvanse normal after 1 year and 3 months have passed?

What do you make of this issue?

Is it permanent? Is there still Paliperidone in my system? Did Paliperidone permanently affect my brain regarding psychostimulants? What would you tell me?

How can ablify help,that stuff is partially an antipsychotic

it functions less like an anti psychotic at 5mg and it works differently to other dopamine blocking anti psychotics ,it’s a partial agonist, so instead of shutting dopamine down, it kind of nudges it back toward a more normal level

some people actually feel more motivated and awake on it, I also believe the combination of mirtatzpine helps it

try it out for two months and see what happens, miratzpine also helps with anhedonia

Get a dopamine agonist like cabergoline, don't take that risk

I have recommended you something, take if you want or don’t, i know I am going to try it

What people? Some doctors give dopamine agonists to deal with the effects. You can see what is stated in the library of medicine and people have bought in this site and it helped them.

there’s no one here who took dopamine agonists for invega and recovered, if this was the cure then people here would have tried and posted about it, it’s extremely high risk, just saying.

The risk isn't high and I didn't say it can cure but It can help really much. Doctors also sometimes prescribed it. The reason you don't see it currently because nobody here has it now. Look at the previous threads.

Yes omg i itched like crazy, it's mean it's working. Try take it for a week or two see if it helps you.

5 months and 16 days. I had enough will power to study programming because of the Vyvanse, for 2 hours today.

I don't think i can be the 10x ai programmer, i once was that and it was too stressful and took a too much higher dosage of Vyvanse.

I get angry and manic on Vyvanse so I'm just gonna take 6-8mg now per day.
